Yes....well I do and I have for years. is your solpadol 30mg codeine and 500mg paracetamol? I take solpadol, Zapain, co-codamol (There all the same ingredients) I take two solpadol at night and 10mg Amitriptyline. A little tip regarding Amitriptyline, I found taking it at night would make me very groggy the next morning so I now take it between 8pm and 9pm to get to sleep around 12pm and this way im fine the next morning. I know everyone is different but if you find it is affecting you in the morning just experiment with taking it earlier the evening before :-) x

Many thanks for advice will try taking at 8pm tonight will let you know how it goes.

Hello there Sashi, thank you for your message. I was prescribed Amitriptyline as well as Solpadol (Co-Codamol) and it is perfectly safe to take these two meds together. Amitriptyline is an antidepressant whilst Solpadol is for pain relief.

If ever you have any concerns regarding your meds it's always best to check with your GP, also a Pharmacist can advise you. This will reassure you that any new meds can be taken with your existing meds etc.

I hope these medications help you. If you don't feel well, experience side effects or have any concerns, again please see your GP about this.

Take care. (((hug))) xxx

many thanks for advice looking forward to sleeping and waking without pain!

Hi, I sometimes take Amittriptyline 20mg and Tylex (500mg paracetamol/30mg codiene which I was prescribed together. I did double check with the Pharmacist and GP though. I also was advised by my GP to take my Amitriptyline at 9pm no later and I go to bed between 11 and 12. Your GP is the best one to advise :)

I have just been prescribed Amitriptyline for pain but forgot to ask GP if it is best to take it with co-codamol or tramadol. Has any one tried it with tramadol?i can see that several people take it with co-codamol.
