You can get IBS alongside fibro as an associated condition. I seem to have developed this, and yes, I do get bloating and discomfort.

I know many of us can relate to bloating and stomach aches, here is some info regarding some relative Fibro symptoms -

Abdominal & Digestive Fibromyalgia Symptoms -

Bloating & nausea

Abdominal cramps

Pelvic pain

Irritable bowel syndrome (as an overlapping condition)

Urinary frequency

Yes I have the same probs with bloating I have to take Omeprazole to stop me feeling sick. I think that the worst think about bloating is the wind that you get with it if mine is bad I won't go out as I get embarassed, One thing I found that helps the bloating is andrews liver salts and doesn't affect other medication that I am on try it and see if it helps you

Yes and my husband thinks it is funny to pat it and look at me in a patronising way which seems to always happen just before he tells me how he has lost a bit of weight recently. Wot a sod. It is uncomfortable and rotten and I sympathise with you :)

yup, IBS goes with the territory I think, and now I am less mobile than even a year ago its worse. But its agood excuse to have a couple of cans of cider, that seems to get things moving. I can loose as much as 7lbs. Prunes or apricots would be far more healthy but not as much fun xx

Hi this tip helps me I avoid wheat ie. bread particularly white ! Also potatoes but they are not as bad as the flour in bread. I know loosing weight helps but if you cannot exercise or move about it is very difficult. Avoiding the flour in bread also reduces wind down below and as I am a particularly noisy farter or as my son in law says bottom burper I hate that expression so pardon me x gins

some people tend to think they've got ibs but with fibro we get to have a lot of allergies and intolerance s and in a lot of cases it is a gluten and/or wheat allergy or intolerance
