I fell down the stairs

I fell down the stairs on Dec 30th & landed with a bang on my right side at the base of my back. I screamed with pain & knew I would suffer for it. However it's been 13 days now & no sigh of it getting better. My pelvis aches like it does after you 've had a baby, I getting stabbing pains in my pelvis & top of my left leg, which also gives way on me. By the end of the day I can hardly walk & if I bend over I get an excruciating pain in my lower back & makes me cry out. I have a misaligned pelvis anyway.

Has anyone any advice on how long this will gone on for, because I have fibro is that the reason for the severe pain? It hurts do much & is making my life harder than usual,

Debs xx

Sorry to hear this happened to you and you are still in pain, Have you had any x-rays since or spoken to your GP about the pain not easing up? Hope it gets better for you soon.

Hi

Sorry about your pain and hope it eases a bit. But -

As Mary asks, has anyone looked at it? have you had an X-Rsy and if no go to your A & E to get it checked properly (don't mention Fibro as some get a bit funny when you do)

Best wishes and kindest regards

Terry

Hello there Debz, I am so sorry to hear you are in so much pain after your fall, it sounds very nasty for you. What you are feeling sounds significantly serious that you need to see your GP as soon as possible, failing that I would go to A&E at your local hospital.

It sounds as though you will need XRays to check you haven't fractured anything. You might have severe bruising too. Falling down the stairs is a serious fall for anyone.

It really isn't advisable to just sit this one out, you need medical help urgently, please either go to the hospital asap or see your GP at the first opportunity. Explain that it's urgent and what you are feeling after a bad fall.

Please let us know how you get on, we do care about you and are concerned for you.

I agree, I'd go straight to a&e as your gp can't do x-rays.

sandra.

Thank you ladies, I haven't been to the doctors because all they do is give you painkillers.

I will make an appointment today & let you know what he says!
