to day has been one of the worst for me in a long time. just do not know what to do with myself. my legs are so painful my arms are sore too along with my shoulders and neck.feeling sorry for myself at the minute and feel like bursting into tears. sat in bed trying to watch tv but cant seem to consentrate or spell for that matter. another problem to day is that i have the most gripping pain in my tummy is this part of Fibro?

hope tomorrow comes in with me in less pain if not i will have the doctor out as i could not face siting in the surgery with people lookinng at me as i would not be able to sit still and will most certain be in tears. just wish i had diagnosis so that i know what i have to deal with all the uncertanty is also a problem. nothing worse that going to see your gp and they just brush it off.

feel so sorry for my other half a he just does not know what to do for the best, even just a simple kiss hurts , my skin is so sore it even hurts when my clothes touch me.

so pleased i have found this site even though i have not been diagnosed the information and support is a great help many thanks to you all.

Hi Janet

Sorry you have felt this way but I have been similar, had a bad morning and slept most of the afternoon.

One of the things that really affect me is the changes of the weather and the weather is certainly changing at the moment. I know there are a lot of people out there like this and we really suffer with the weather.

This definitely does not affect the skin, that must be horrible, I have a weird feeling on my face where light things tingle but it is nothing like what you are describing.

Another problem for some is IBS and this can be really bad as my daughter has it and now she is having gluten free stuff it has gotten a lot better (until she has been good for a couple of weeks and rewards herself with a chocolate bar and then pays for it.)

Keep asking questions and there will be people to answer them for you. this is a great site for that.

Take care and kindest regards

Terry

Hello Janet welcome to the site. As Terry suggested the stomach pains could be IBS it is quite common for it to go hand in hand with fibro, I suffer from it myself and the skin pain is something else that I suffer from. It has a fancy name Alodynia or somthing like that, Your lack of consentration could be what we call fibro fog It sounds as though it could be fibro but I am not a doctor and you need a proper diagnosis. Ask your doctor to refer you to a Rhumatologist who can do the tests nessesary to rule out all other things first.

Normaly I would point you to our mother site where there is lots or info. Unfortunatly the web page is down at the moment.I or someone else will help you out when it is back up and running

I will say good night for now and I will speak to you again tomorrow, Lots of hugs sue.

Hiya I've been where you are now and I know the pain is indescribable and the doctors don't understand. Try keeping a diary of how you feel each day and over time you will get a clearer picture. It often takes a long time to correctly diagnose fibromyalgia, but in the meantime your doctor could prescribe suitable meds to help ease the pain. Please let us know how you are. Xxx flossy xxx

Hi dobie62

I have read your post with so much sorrow and pain for what you are being forced to endure, and I genuinely wish that you could find some resolution and relief to these issues. I can sincerely relate to your pains as this is pretty much how my Fibro came into being! I still get the stomach pains now.

My GP said my stomach muscles were coming apart and that I should wear a stomach truss. I looked on the internet about this and it appears to be mainly a ladies problem, especially after childbirth! Typical of me!

I have pasted you the link to the NHS Choices website page relating to easing Fibro pains, so I really hope that you find it useful:

I know that you would find it difficult going to the doctors at the moment but it really would be the best thing to do?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Janet

I hope today your in a lot less pain?

I also get to the point where the tears flow with the pain its so hard to know whats hurting most at this time, I kept a diary and found that i got worse when i have a period on its way, my body dos'nt know what to do as it hurts to even to have a bra on or even the duet hurts to touch my toes...

Fibro fog is a cloud that makes you scared and feels like your going mad it also makes me say the wrong words which my family find very funny or i cant remember a word and now my partner just says spit it out and we do laugh alot....

Please go to your GP don't suffer without the proper medication your be surprised how much it helps when it kicks in.

Be kind to yourself and rest but a lovely hot bath always helps..

Sunshine hugs to you..and make that appointment with the doc and let us know how your doing xxxx

Hi Janet, you could be writing for me at the moment :) my legs and arms are quite sore along with my chest and neck (Head goes without saying) Fibro causes me to have bad flare up of IBS and that causes a lot of pain in the stomach. Like you my poor hubby isn't sure what to do with me, all his instincts are to wrap me up in a big cuddle and take the pains away. Unfortunately I can't have the big cuddle as it hurts even more, we are at the stage now of him giving me giant air hugs, they look ridiculous but make me laugh and I know he cares. I hope you get a diagnoses soon, that for me was half the battle, it makes it easier to fight it when you have a name to it. This site is fantastic, I can't say that too many times! the people are wonderful, helpful and full of useful tips and advice on how to handle this illness, much better than me. In the meantime I will wish you well and hope you feel better soon... Susan :)
