I really think credit where it's due and less of a guardian angel and credit to the good honest person who handed it in intact....gives you back faith in people knowing these people still exist

Thank God that there was someone who was honest.

Wonderful news, there are some good people out there. Some years ago I had my purse stolen, it was awful. Although I got my purse back, the money was gone but it could have been worse, the cards and personal stuff were still there. Thankfully someone saw the person shove the purse down the back of a radiator, so they were caught and pleaded guilty to the offence.

So pleased for you. It does restore your faith in humans beings doesn't it?

Have you got a name or contact details for the person who handed it in, so that you can thank them. If not, if you feel up to it, perhaps you could put a thank you note in the local paper. I have seen that a few times in our local paper and, as VG says above, credit should go to the honest person who handed your purse in. That isn't to say, myfindhorn, that I don't believe in guardian angels 'cos I do and I am sure it was the angels all working together to influence the person to carry out his good deed.

Have a wonderful Christmas, linlit. Love and hugs Saskia XX

hi all, my husband picked a diary up in the mens loo when we were out for the day. on looking at it the writing i assumed looked like an elderly person, it was full of contact details, bank / card numbers addresses , really personal info, it also had daily medicine / pill doses on each page. after ringing a couple of numbers we found out it was an elderly couple visiting our area the gent had left it when visiting the loo. when we got an address we posted it to him, the son then rang and wanted our address, he sent us £10, and a letter of thanks, but come xmas we had the same and a christmas card from said gent, still thanking us for what we did, thought that was really nice that he still remembered all those months after, xx

What great news! You must be so relieved :) I've had my purse stolen before (on holiday in Minehead) and bank cards are the easy part to replace. Once my son and I got back home after surviving half of the week in self-catering accommodation with only the money I'd fortunately stuffed in my pocket, I had to start replacing some of the other cards... library, English Heritage etc. Then a week or so later, my purse turned up in a charity shop in Minehead - no money or bank cards, but enough ID for the Police to track me down and return my purse.

I'm really glad you've been saved all that bother, especially this time of year when there's already so much that needs doing. xxx

Wow how lucky you are to have it returned in this day & age.

Obviously you have a special gaurdian anglel watching over you.

I hope yourself, family & the lovely gentleman who handed it in have a wonderfully holiday.

Best wishes

Jackie xx

Awwww that's lovely, reminds me of the story that's been in the newspapers bout the homeless guy who returned a dropped purse to its owner,he had nothing and yet still he returned the purse with everything still in it,including 80 pounds cash. The lady who owned the purse went to the papers with her story as she was so touched by this man,his photo appeared in the express and he now is getting a house because of his honesty, how lovely is that?

That is great news. I am so pleased someone handed it in for you. And just today I was in Maccys having a coffee before I began my shopping and I heard a guy say he was on his way to the other side of our town as someone had found his wallet with all his money still in it. So good news all around today xxxxx
