These are what i was provided with as i have trouble with my hands,

At 1st i admit it put me off as start thinking physcologicaly 'again' that if i need these i am getting worse and whats next?! But i have used and have to say i am soooo impressed at how they help!! So soft & light and easier to use by far.

I feel 'special' not disabled.

People do take you more seriously if they see some form of aid as non of us want it but need it making easier to plod on with.

Wow funky or what .. Only snag is screwing off to wash so try not to do tightly.

Or put them in wash haha.

I want knickers and clothes made of this because ones i wear my body feels like cement.

Hehe.

This and the other bits have made my day really.

How many of you have them and how do you feel about them ?

Xxxx

I have even recomended for my elderly who live alone who have never heard of them either and they are very curious to meet my new additions on my next visit ;/)

It's great when something works enjoy being special! its a lovely way to look at it - and why not?

I was given some shaped ones with gripping handles, but they hurt at the time. Also some pipe lagging that was split so you could push it over ordinary cutlery handles - unfortunately the feel of it set my teeth on edge!

what are yours called [& not joe, bill & harry!] I might ask for some.

regards,

sandra. :)

I had thought about getting some of these but I have to admit as I'm only 46 I felt that I would look silly and didn't feel that I was ready yet for them! So I bought some with a fairly good grip in sainsburys and they they seem to do the job, maybe when things get worse i shall get some, but you are right in what you say..xx

Pinkblossom i am only 43 and look very angelic to all i know and like nothings wrong.

But this is for me in my home and private and besides i feel like taking them out with me now if i go for a meal.

I nearly cried with happiness when i touched then used them lol even my hubby dont get that much emotion lol.

It is to make 'my' life easier nobodody else.

I was so proud and vanity with a walking stick and so conscious at 1st and now i walk as high as can as i am more slouch potato now .

I have so many different cutlery and nothing compares to this.

Who invented had to be a sufferer or sone one who really cared for some one else.

Please be proud of you not what others think!

Xxxxxxx huggles to you x

I just want to say that if anyone feels the vanity and pride thing i do! And it is the fact of accepting it too and you believe no i will improve but instead remain the same or worse!

I have come to believe that i want things comfortable now not show piece things i can do that in many other ways.

I love glam hair extensions, nail extensions , false eye lashes tooplatform high heels that i look 6ft when only 5'1inch lol

Now i say you can still do it but in a different way.

1stly get pampered (still waiting) the only thing i lose is heels .

That is a small price to lose.

Feel proud of you not what others think and if they do make comments are they worth your life xxxx i Love them!!!!

Also my trolley and chair you just wait as my daughters want to trim them up for kissmass xxx

Lots of 'special' hugs to you all from one special to another

I have to admit I have admitted defeat and bought a pull along shopping trolley,I had no choice!

I went into town yesterday and bought to much in M & S,I came out of the shop and realised It was to difficult for me to carry bags and walk with a crutch so i had seen some trolleys for sale cheaply near by,poped in shop..paid..and shuved the shopping in the trolley and off I went!

It was amazing,I went up the high street like grease lightning and took no hostages!

Highly recommend one!..xx

You have to do what is best for you and comfortable not what looks like.

I nipped to town yesterday just for some hair extensions last minut 4.30pm was closing 5 pm town is Leeds and quite big (maybe now its a chore it seems it haha)

I had to use stick as the que of cars going round one way system was standstill and car infront happen to be my ex sisterin law lol of alllll the cars thats a 1-how many chance bizaaare. Anyway we short walked n talked me breathless and she shocked at my stick but now its out. She wrks in CCTV for our local supermarket and sees me with Trolley so never knew.

All our families wrk tesco lol. My son & daughter , her son , our brother in law and lots of others haha its funny!!

Anyway we parted and i went for my things and yes young kids and ppl were looking because i think ppl stereo type walking sticks and their owners.

But it really really helps me and nooo way could i have walked what i did without it and then my back and legs start to seize and want to give up it hurts .

I got couple belly bars and earings for daughter and bumped into my neighbours daughter 12yr old and again how weird!!

Offered them a lift they said ohhh yeah then decided they wanted to get bus they saw my stick and was ohh do you need that now ., i was like only for longer walks as i go car to house so never use it . Think they did not either have patience to wait 5 mins whilst i browsed or the stick put them off who knows.

So yes things we use can have an effect in so many ways and how others see it .

The young will mock it no matter what.

My 12 yr old has great respect and is extremely caring.

The thing to me is if they not around it to understand it and its not a loved one they do take the micheal out of public.

I hold my head up and proud as much as i dint want to walk around with one or use spongy forks but without them i hold more pain and that i wont do for anyone!!!

Spongebob square pants is funny looking and i cant tell you what i think patrick looks like but jeez does everyone love them lol we will funk up our adaptions and let them smile lol i have a full covered diamante fold up stick no wander tgey stare tuts now thats why ! Haha xxxxxxx hugs xxxx

Hi bb not sure we met before but hiii .

I think these sponge ones are pretty new and i think better as soft and extremely light.

They not having them back now they alll mine.

There is pissibly a lot more things out there than we know about its just knowing and having.

Atleast as VG says if they drop they will bounce rite back into our hands haha well maybe not quite haha but very funny!! Xxx
