I wake and it feels as if there is no oxygen in my body at all - after an hour of breathing deeply I feel more oxygenated - does this make sense? Thanks.

Does anyone feel oxygen depleted in the mornings?
I've had some breathing problems of late though its more like when you swallow the wrong way and gasp for breath...this has been happening during sleep and I am having a sleep study in the next couple of weeks...not sure if its the same as you though it does take me a while to recover when it happens.
Hi mumof5 I'll be interested to know how your sleep study goes. Good luck with this.
I can understand what you're saying Reflections, it always takes me about one hour to function. I can't even communicate without a cuppa and a sit down, I feel like I am running out of steam and my day hasn't even started. Slowly I start to come to, then I feel reasonable and ready for breakfast and then my shower etc. I usually wake up with a headache so this hour clears my head too.
My swallowing is more of a problem than my breathing, after two cups of tea I can usually swallow normally again. When I first get up every day my throat feels too tight to swallow, it's a real effort. It seems to "loosen" up with a couple of cuppas thank goodness!
Hi LibertyZ, thanks for your reply, sounds just like me - takes a 3 to 4 hours block after a cup of coffee to get dressed, have breakfast etc., all in slow motion, after the hour or so worth of deeper breathing - when I wake up with a headache this can go on for days. I don't have a problem with my swallowing thank goodness.
