Does anyone get odd pains in the brain?
hi..i get weird feelings in my head often..the only way to describe them{apart from the regular headaches/migrain that fibro seems to bring}..is like a zippin electric type feeling which makes me unbalanced..sorry not to clear a discription but its hard to explain..iv mentioned it to dr.but he just says its the fibro..im sure if i went and said my left leg has gone black and dropped off he would say..oh yes its the fibro!! lol ah well take care hunny...xx
I get this too, and I think that's a great way of putting it, zipping electric, like a buzzing feeling, especially when i turn my head, and also vertigo and dizziness.
I also get them at night and can't focus, my GP sent me to a neurologist, who thinks it is a form of migraine, or possibly the pain killers, so I have cut them right back (they don't work anyway!) so we shall see if it clears up.
I do think it'd a good idea to get checked out especially if you have other symptoms with it.
I get sharp stabbing pain which stops me in my tracks but only lasts about a minute and then goes. I do also get terrible migraine which can leave me blind temperorarly and can paralise my limbs temporaraly to. I had MRI to check it out which was clear, guess it is just another bit of the fibro.
hi fibro friends yes me 2, only some days don't think i have a brain left since having fm lol....foggy and pain doesn't begin to describe the start to my day lol...tc enjoy the summer soma xx
oh forgot to say what would the docs do if they couldn't blame fibro for all our weird but very real pain and symptons lol you have to make fun sometimes cos we can't let it grind us all down xxx
Hey,
This has happened to me on twice, but very unforgettable occasions- it's terrifying. I always described it as a strange 'twinge' in my brain which makes me feel as though I am about to pass out- or something worse. (But a electic shock description is also a good way of putting it!) It completely stops me from doing whatever I am doing.
It's very scary, so I can see why it must have shaken you.
The first time it happened to me I worried for a long time, thinking I could be seriously ill - this was before I was diagnosed. But it's not happened to me in a while, and other than those few seconds when I'm in the moment I won't let it bother me.
As the others have said, this can be a symptom of Fibromyalgia so I wouldn't let it worry you.
If this symptom persists, then of course it might be best to go and see your GP - but otherwise don't worry- just consider it a 'one off' even. I know it's not very nice.
Besides, stressing over it is likely to be the cause of more migraines etc. and aggrevate your other symptoms. Try to relax and be kind to yourself.
Take care and Gentle hugs, xxxxxxx
If you are at all concerned Reflections, please speak to your Doctor and explain the pains you are experiencing in your head. It's always best to check just to be on the safe side and also to reassure you and for you to get the appropriate treatment etc.
