Hi, recently i have been getting bad cramps in both of my legs but its when i am on the toilet or when i am lying down. Somtimes they end up in pins and needles. Has anyone come across this i understand people get cramps but all the time? Thank you for reading my post

Hi louisew

I don't suffer cramp but I do suffer RLS, you should get a few replies as I know a few on here suffer from cramps. I hope you are not in too much pain and enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi Louisew, I too get terrible, unbearable at times, pain in my legs from my hips down to my ankles, it is sore when I sit or stand/walk too long and is worse in bed, so much so I cant sleep, (lucky if I get 2hrs a night) ive got a very thick pillow top mattress, super quilted mattress topper and also a 2inch thick feather and down mattress topper all on my bed, it still doesn't help. It also, sometimes, gets to the stage where I get numb legs, and is starting to get the same in my right arm especially. I hope this is of help and you can enjoy your day.

Hi louisew

If this is a fairly new condition or is something that is getting worse then you should see the GP.

It could be something to do with your back if it is only happening in certain positions.

I used to get cramps all the time but now use magnesium spray with aloe vera. Only need a little spray and it takes the cramp away immediately. I believe a lot of fibro sufferers are low in magnesium and you can take tablet supplement form of it but I prefer spray as it gets straight to the point you need it without going through your stomach. Take care Joolz.x

Forgot to say it also helps pins and needles but you should get this checked by GP to make sure the pins and needles are not something else.

Hi louisew

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and as bluebell99 says, if it is a new or persistent issue it would be best to talk to your doctor about this just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation.

I do have problems myself but I suffer with Lymphedema and it is quite unpleasant at times. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I used to get cramps in my calves every night, now I don't any more, since I have been taking magnesium it has stopped it. To make the magnesium bioavailable, or absorbable in your body the best forms for me are magnesium citrate or magnesium malate,( I tried both, and prefer the citrate, but both work) and no more waking up from that particular problem. I also take magnesium bis-glycinate an hour before bed as it helps me sleep for longer without waking up evey hour, I have a magnesium spray, but i find that takiing it internally is more effective, many people are magnesium deficient nowadays, and apparently many fibro sufferers find that it helps, I certainly did.

Hiya, yep I get terrible cramps from my toes with which they part from each other, up to my knees, sometimes it's just one leg and sometimes both at the same time! I'm still suffering with pain today after it coming on last night. I never thought that you could get cramp while moving about untill this fibro started and it just comes on in my feet all the time, especially if they are cold!!! Horrible when I'm woken up with it first thing in the morning frantically trying to rub my legs when everything else doesn't want to move...lol! Went to the beach in the summer, lovely hot day, walked into the cold sea...and instant cramp in both feet!

I hope they ease up for you soon!
