Stupid funny turn.

We popped in Sainsburys this afternoon, only to discover they had no mobility scooters available, so I ended up having to walk around to pick up the half dozen or so things we needed.

In the car coming back I had one of my funny turns, everything went numb and I felt as if I was set in stone and my mind was away with the fairies .... after about 20 minutes it began to fade away but it was awful whilst it lasted. I was stressed, tired, hungry and thirsty by the time we finished in Sainsburys - any one could trigger one of these turns let alone 4! I've been a bit gaa-gaa eversince

Ohh well something else to tell job centre plus tomorrow I guess!

I have to ask about this as i am getting worse i find i am sitting down a lot now and its like after doing things i find myself heavy nothing in me and i not able to move, infact the feeling is undescribable. Yesterday football match with daughter, hubby took chair for me so not as if i been standing at all only on/off over the hour and half tgen came home had dinner with glass sangria went for a nap as the alkohol even tho 5% made me tired.

I woke up like as if my body was deeply relaxed but yet uncomfotable and the face discomfort i have , it was like i was numb and and could not get up to do anything .

I am getting this a lot.

I excercise my legs a little and hands and its like i done boxing ring.

I thought numb just meant i could chop my toes off in winter when they white lol but this is weird stuff.

My whole body feels it i have no strength to do anything as if its still in sleeping mode but my eyes are awake ???

I had a burst blood vessel in toes thursday and my legs have been terrible too, i worry as had Thrombosis in past but Dr said its nothing!!

I have no idea what these turns are. Mini-strokes, aura migraines and epilepsy have all been ruled out but still they come; the unhelpful advice from the hospital was "we have no idea what they are let alone how to treat them, you are just going to have to learn to live with it".

I think my subconcious remembers what the strokes were like and a bit of adreneline puts me into hibernation mode ... well it is as good a theory as anyone else has come up with!

Julie I have been having turns like this.Last Thursday night went to bed at 7.p.m. ny 10p.m.vomiting everywhere. 3.a.m. called ambulsne and by 4.a.m.on drip in hospital, anti sickness meds. Then lost the sight in left eye. Still vomiting all this time. Sent tosee Eye consultant in hospital who diagnosed Acute Gluacoma, the presure of which had caused the sickness. Was pumped with a load of drugs and given eye drops which are paingul to use 6 times a day and water tabs.Go back tomorrow for them to decide whether to operate of nigh. Terrified.

hi Abbeystead you are having a rough time , i really hope that your eye settles down without surgery but if op will help it would be worth it , i understand your fear of operations as i was the same but after three major ops i am not unsettled at all, Best of luck with the GP tomorrow, please keep us up to date on how things go X
