I dont know if other are aware that HU can access your PMs, I thought that PM stood for private Messages, it would seem not, it would seem thid blog got admin to ban Diddles out of order

i cant believe they would ban diddle, she was really great on here, a friend to everyone, i do not think much of this site if she has gone!
She's bound to return to us..surely? She's been gone for about an hour and already people are fighting for her & asking questions. She is so popular that this is bound to cause an uproar.

Report means if you are unhappy with a message you can report it to HU
delete means you can delete your own message

Not having a good feeling about this....Diddle is a star and in fact should be part of the management of this site....instead they've deleted her!! I believe I shall be looking for another 'support' group.....
I haven't written a blog yet, but I sometimes add a comment if I feel it may help someone. I read Diddle's blogs everyday. They are really fun & upbeat usually & she gives great help & support. It's totally out of order if PM's can be accessed by anyone other than the 2 people they are meant to be between.
Diddle should not be blocked from posting, she is the best person on this site!
Diddle has been reinstated and all we can do now is keep our fingers crossed that she feels well enough to come back and post again.
What did she do to get removed in the first place?

Hi Sammy I am new to this site but felt part of the family straight away and Diddle was one of the first to be there. Please tell her I know where she is at this moment with this all going on and send her a great big hug from me. I cant see how Diddle did anything wrong...if you cant let off steam on the this blog because you are frustrated about your FMS or anything else that relates to that...its a sad..thing I think someone had it in for them...because diddle would speak up....what happend to democracy...so is this site then ok only if you remain PC and dont speak up ???????
The only thing that I think would contravene the ethos of this site if as it states on this blog you dont name and shame individuals or are abusive, malicious or misleading....so I am unsure and unclear what diddle has done to be banned from this site!

To also find out that you can read our PM`s sickens me.Smacks of big brother and certain people getting too big for their boots.
You had a really good thing going here,I have been with you almost since the start.You need to remember that it is people like us that made this site not you.
But it is getting now that if we say something you don`t agree with you can switch us on and off at will.Well all I can say is you must have nothing better to do.

what on earth is going on here - this site is the best support group I've seen. Come on, lets use some common sense administrators and and let the site be what it was intended for. I've not seen anything malicious from anyone since I've been on here, just support, support and more support.
Simon , perhaps a full explanation by the admin team would soothe people ? It's obviously upset a lot of members to hear of Diddle having to leave so abruptly .

sorry but WTF is going on> this site is crazy why has diddle been banned? if shes been banned what hope do we all have? and if her pm has been intersepted we need to know as i for one wont be pm anyone in the near future if thats the case
I have only recently found this blog and have found it so very helpful, informative and supportive for anyone suffering from FMS, pain and disability. I love the caring and upbeat way that members reach out to those in distress to pick them up and give virtual comfort where needed. Diddles posts were probably one of the best examples of this. Her bright and cheery outlook on life and her sincere and sympathetic retorts always made me feel better even when they were directed at other people. She addressed everybody with kindness, repect and empathy - exactly the qualities that a site like this should value. If she does decide not to come back (and whoncould blame her) she will be sorely missed!

I agree. We're just sat here wondering with no one telling us anything, despite numerous people repeatedly asking questions - we're being taken as fools and deserve an explanation. Take a look author's name who brought this to our attention: stumblealot is no longer a member of this site now.. I wonder why..

Wow I've just received this in my emails and I've only just joined by the comments I think they should tell you something not really a site for me if this happening people writing private messages and then getting blocked and I agree they should be private,did feel I found the perfect site caring understanding a family but will rethink this over night and decided if ill come out of it tomorrow no disrespect to members night all xxx
I haven't commented much on this site before as everyone else always seems able to put my feelings down into words so much better than I ever could. I now however feel that I must join in and write of my support for Diddle. She always voiced my feelings and gave everyone so much support. What happened about the freedom of speech?! If she doesn't return then I am afraid that this site will have lost my confidence and it will be pointless reading it, as people will have to be careful about what they say, rather than say what's on their mind. Sorry, just my opinion.

I have not been on the site for a few days, and am very shocked to hear that Diddle is having this problem, it is all very well saying that 'Diddle has been re-instated', but why (and WHO) deleted or restricted her in the first place.
I must assume it was a member of the admin team, who must have been monitoring Diddles Pms, and if they were, WHY!
Also if she was re-instated just like that, she quite obviously did nothing wrong!
It seems to me that a member of the admin team is bullying Diddle and misusing their power.
In this case that person should be held accountable and expected to make an apology!
I hope this is done as it is I believe, the only way anyone will feel safe on what should be a supportive site.
Perhaps the member of admin who did this should read the guidelines that the rest of us adhere to, or try to.
Best wishes to everybody, and I hope Diddle comes back, but I for one would not blame her in the circumstances if she did not.

I think it speaks volumes how quiet Admin are being, guilty conscience maybe?
I haven't been here very long, but diddle is one of the people who has stood out to me, to try to help others on a regular basis.
I hope she feels well enough soon to come back and post again, don't let them win diddle.

I wholeheartedly agree with just about everyone´s comments here.
Admin are not only punishing Diddle who by just having this awful disease is punishment enough for breathing, but they are stripping each & everyone of us new and old members alike.
I don´t think you will find one new member that has not been encouraged, helped, cheered up or so reassured about using this site who do not mention Diddle as the main reason for continuing.
In fact admin, if you were to do one of your famous polls you would find this to be the truth and just posting "Her account has been reinstated" is not good enough.
At the end of the day you really should look up on your law regarding pm´s, and allowing free expression via these and YOUR powers to read, judge and act on any comments made whatsoever.
The reason I am replying to Stormylady's comment is because I would also like to say to diddle

I cannot believe that people who are here to protect us from persecution, ridicule, and harassment because they are regarded as being able to be fair minded, knowledgeable if not sufferers themselves etc etc could be so cruel as to let this inexplicable act happen.
One question to them......who the h**l do you think you are reading what is perceived by the general public as private mail, and being judge & jury.
Not only a public apology to diddle should be made forthwith but to all members and a personal compensation in some way made to Diddle.

I have not been on site due to my own trauma etc but i an under faded blossom on face book and there is a page there where confused ex members of this site are congregating on hold while common sense returns to hu fibro as u say the silence is deafening all these blogs have been hilited as popular so admin are aware of the discontent amongst members and the cavalier attirude to members is not appreciTed i am not taking sides for or against admin here just putting diown in prunt the facts and fact is it appears that we are just fodder to admin who seem to think tooo bad if older members keave there are always new ones to be had such a shame such a farce we really thought it was a place of understanding petal

I have only just seen this post and can't believe what is going on.
Surely it is an invasion of privacy to read someones private messages. I'm not sure if I want to be a member of this site anymore as I get very upset at confrontation.
I have only just joined as was recently diagnosed with FM. Disgusted with the way this site is administered, bullying and breach of privacy, and then refusal to engage and provide rationale for their actions. So I am now voting with my feet and closing my account. Adios
when i first found this site i was ver down and ready to give up. Diddle was one of the first names i recognised and read her blogs when i found time, but her answers to questions were always full of such good advice. She (and others), made me feels i wasnt alond anymore and this was a place where people really understood (more than i did at first) how i felt.
I didnt see the thread that Diddle was involved in which lead to her account being deleted but i cannot believe that Diddle would have put anything out which was really out of order.
If as people are saying it was a Personal Message the title indicates that the message was PERSONAL and not intended for the public domain. So whatever the content of that PM Diddle did not expect or want it to be broadcast publicly or she would have put it out to be shared.
To the admin team - If i write a personal message to someone, are you going to read it
If you read it and dont like it will i be deleted
If the answer to these 2 questions are both YES what is the point of having the PM service. You are like old time prison officers going through convicts letters deleting things you dont like.
BUT THIS WAS STOPPED BECAUSE IT WAS AGAINST CIVIL LIBERTIES!!!
I think that if you answer this post in full then a lot of this argument will go away. Then people will decide if it is a site they are still happy to use.
Hi all, when I needed someone to understand what I was going through I knew I could turn to UH, I always got a reply from Diddle. As people with disabilities we are kept down and our opinions are not worth anything, this site allowed us to help one another. Diddle always sent good info for me, sometimes I did a bit more research off her ideas, but she helped me more than ANY one in my life. Please allow Diddl to carry on and this site needs to be place where we can come home to, where we can sit in our fav chair and off load or ask for help.
I understand it has to be moderated and monitered but an email to the person as a warning is better than a ban. We need each other on here as our hugs stretch out into space, wrap around the world and come back to the person we send out love and hugs to just when they need it.
Please let Diddle back.
