Good luck hope health continues to improve. At the end of the day that's why we are all here. Some people are lucky and seem not to have as many problems as others. It's an individual thing, no two people will have the exact same symptoms. Sharing helps us get through the day so we aren't hurting anyone. All the best x
In fairness to the admin, on this occasion, it appears that this member was offering personal contact details to contact her for some form of therapy. Whilst I'm sure she was only doing it to help, it is in breach of the site's rules and regs, so it probably was justified!
All the same, good luck to Amanda!

I think Admin have done the right thing, Amnda was repeatedly breaking the rules regarding advertisements and passing out personal details.
She wasn't sharing her experiences as much as she was advertising her services. There are plenty of other legitimate ways of doing this on the internet ... but fibroaction is just not one of them!
To post a link to something useful is great - but to blatently advertise (even with clever wording) is just not on.

Thank you and quite right Julie, that hits the nail on the head. For this reason we have taken the action to restrict this particular person in order to keep everyone safe and to protect their personal security. There was no profile posted for this person, no info, no location, nothing - so we couldn't verify anything.
We have to be vigilant about the safety of our forum and its members and therefore unfortunately on occasions we have to take action.
I dont know exactly what happened but from what I've read here I woe like to say a big Thank you to the admin, this is the reason I use this site and NO other! It's not easy managing a site like this, you do it very well and extremely fairly! We can't please all of the people all of the time.... But Thank You for trying! X
P.s no idea how to find my profile page sorry but I'm a 51 yr old female from Pembrokeshire in west Wales, diagnosed in 1991, we have a 6 acre smallholding where we try our best to be self sufficient and help as many ppl as we can! Hope that helps!
I agree with you Sooty, I suppose it was to be expected that someone would try and advertise their business here
hi in thiscase i think adminhave been right in removing the blogs and advertising of things that cant be verified i hope everyone is ok and can move on HU deal with all these matters and keep us safe oh well onwards and upwards love diddle x
I think it's fair enough re admin. People who are vulnerable and in some cases desperate for a cure are far more liable to cast caution aside and possibly pay out a lot of money for things that may not work. Of course they may work, but no doubt you all troll the Internet anyway.
If anyone's curious, the FibroAction.HU community guidelines are here:
fibroaction.healthunlocked....
If you haven't read them, please do, because all members are required to abide by these and the general site guidelines at all times.
Also, the general HU site guidelines ask that "Members should not paste personal contact information on the site though may choose to do so in the Messages module. " This is for the personal online safety of members rather than anything else. If any member does post personal contact details on the public site, we will ask that they remove them for their own safety. To contact another member away from the community use the private Messaging system to exchange contact details (assuming this complies with the various guidelines on no commercial promotion and no spamming by messaging).
