painful teeth???: is it just me or does... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
painful teeth???
I get regular tooth pain, usually in all my teeth on the right side, this coupled with Temporomandibular Joint pain can leave the side of your face in excruciating pain! Mine only lasts for about 18 hours, but it usually attacks late evening meaning you don't get any sleep and the rest of your body then gets worse too! Hope you feel better soon.....
ty Mark....ive had this for about 3 days now!!!
Have you had the all clear from the dentist? Not every pain is actually Fibro lol
Julie xx
I get "random" pains in my teeth for no apparent reason --sometimes it's difficult to tell when I have "real" toothache.Sometimes the ache vanishes as quickly as it came. If it continues maybe it would be worth a visit to the dentist just to check it out xx
i will go see my dentist...thanks all xx
I get this to, dentist told me teeth are fine and it's down to the fibro.
Maddonna, I did think your reply to Julie was rather rude. No need for it.
Hi Maddonna I too experiance tooth ache in the same way, had my teeth checked only to be told i have good clean teeth, so yep its down to the fibro there is no end smiles and hugs xx
hi yes i too have just been to the dentist with toothand gum pain, and told nothing wrong with teeth i have tmj. soz your in pain, tc soma x
thank you Soma for your reply, sorry you too are in pain, hope we feel better real soon lol xx
Hi, I had this for months, wemt to dentist, healthy teeth, it felt it was the bone not the gums, advised to go to GP after blood test eventually it was a vitamin D deficiency, on high dose of vitamin D premantly now.
Hi, I've just been given the all clear at the dentist, but I get tooth pain, and sinus', no telling how long it can last, sometimes a few hours, sometimes a few days. Just one more thing to 'put up with'! Have you tried things like scrambled eggs, if you put them onto toast, by the time you get to the toast it's gone mushy, (urgh sounds gross), but at least it's some sustenance.
thank you stormy xx
Hi there Maddonna,
I suffered from my teeth aching and bad headaches and mentioned this to my dentist. I now have a tooth guard for my top teeth which I wear at night as it seems that I clench my jaw which then puts pressure on the teeth and causes the pain.
I also tend to get jaw spasm which makes me bite down very hard and I cut my tongue or inner cheeks with it. The guard has helped so much with all this ( it's transparent so doesn't look too hidious )
Good luck and hope your dentist is as good as mine
Ren Robin...xxx
Yup get the same problems My dentist has given it a name "toothache Syndrome". I always have to be put under sedation if I have any dental work done because the numbing injections just do not work for me if Im awake and aware. I think having read about Fibro it must be because we feel pain in a different way from others. We are more aware of pain. I have had toothache for days now which comes and goes all the time and often my jaw aches for no apparent reason. Its all weird isnt it. Hope you feel better soon. x
thank you Colleen.... i got a mouth guard now so will try it out tonite xx
