Hi Tracey7 I'm sorry you are suffering with painful feet. I do suffer with dreadfully painful feet, my toes and ankle swell & it feels like I'm walking on broken glass. I get a lot of nerve pain because of damaged nerves, which make my toes & part of foot numb. I have also got Polymyagia but I know a lot of ppl. With Fibro do suffer with foot & hand pain.
I really can't say how long it will last because everyone is so different, my feet tend to hurt in some way pretty much most of the time, same as my hands, it's just sometimes they hurt more than others.
As with any new symptoms, should be mentioned to your gp as it may not be Fibro.
Hope this helps
Peace, luv n light

Hi Kara....Pains in feet at times like shooting pains....hands all the time and both with lots of tingling....oh joy!
Along with my usual aches and pains in my feet (which is only helped with rubbing and stretching for me) I have recently within the past few months had tingling on top of my feet. I don't wear tight shoes. I have looked it up and I am guessing that my tight calf muscles are just damaging the nerves. This nerve damage can be caused by diabetes, so I have been thinking about running it by a dr, just to be save.
Anyways, take care. ××
Hi Tracey7 so sorry you are going through this.
I too suffer painful feet. Stabing, stinging, burning and throbbing. It's worse when they are hot. The summer was a nightmare.
I do get it in my hands but not half as bad.
Take care.

Me too. Feet and hands are both terrible. Getting up from sitting and sometimes my feet are too painful to walk. Takes about twenty steps before it becomes manageable xx
That's how my feet are jackyb-69. My feet just are so painful even after the shortest time walking but I dread putting them on the floor in the mornings or standing from sitting. The pain is so unbearable you can't walk

Hi there
Fortunately I don't suffer with this problem so I'm afraid I cannot help you.
Hopefully some of our other members will be able to help you.
Lu xx
I get it in my feet hands and elbows
My feet pain is a relatively new symptom but definitely one I could do without hurts when I get up in the night for the bathroom and in the mornings when I start my day from the ball of my foot up my Achilles' tendons and at times in the calf muscles. I don't think any of us can say how long we will have these pains for it could be a short time or a long term thing. Hope it eases up for you. I have osteoarthritis in my hands , knees and hips so have to put up with that so hate any new pains. Take care x
Hello,I suffer with very painful feet and ankles, across the middle of my toes.,Can't bend my big toes, and i got pain around my ankles, they seem to lock with pain and I can't move my foot at all for a few mins until it kind of unlock, the pain is so bad,any walking is painful, but I try to keep mobile or iv been told I won't be able to walk at all. The phisio tried giving me steroid injections but was unsuccessful as the needle kept hitting the bone. I'm on strong meds but nothing seems to work, everything is put down to fm,and I know a lot of the pain is due to fm,but my sister had the same problem , went private. , had ops on both feet , and it's the best her feet have been for years,I.feel that gps and specialists put every ackes and pain down to fm,iv given up on going to go to hear the same thing , on strong meds but as it's nerve pain , not a lot they can do ,or so iv been told .
Hiya, I get incredible pain in my feet and ankles, x rays showed the lining has 'dessicated' along with hips hands and lower spine, and have osteo arthritis pretty much every joint, am diabetic and also have peripheral neuropathy in feet although vascular clinic say blood supply is good. I have a very old foot spa that vibrates and when I am really numb and painful this is amazingly soothing, use Caicin cream as well, weird stuff, but helps. My daughter sent me some info about the herb Thyme, sposed to be really beneficial for Fybro n arthritis, anyone else have info or tried It? I use it like a tea I think?
I have this from time to time, and sometimes the pain is so bad I want to cut my feet off at the ankles. Sometimes soaking them in warm water helps but other times nothing I do brings relief.
Sorry I haven't come up with a solution.
Hi Tracey7
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and there is a condition that many Fibro sufferers endure called Plantar Fasciitis. I have pasted you a link below to see if this is the sort of pain that you are experiencing:

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
