24 hours out of hospital. Went in last Wednesday 11.07.12 for day surgery, came out 15.07.11!!!!!
Woke up having lost a day on Friday the 13th (OMG) and my front tooth was hanging out of my mouth, by mid mornong it had come out, I had a third stuck in my gum, a third in my hand and a third God only knows. The hospital are washing their hands of it as I signed the document which said I DID NOT HAVE any loose teeth, caps, bridges, or dentures. I was shouting that no where in that statement dud it say broken teeth. So the left biggest tooth at the front clean break and now a hole. What do I do? Any adve would be helpful.

If you didnt have any loose teeth when you went in then ended up with a broken one, what on earth did they do to make that happen and how can they say its not your fault?
Have they removed the bit stuck in your gum?
I am not sure what you can do about it, although as you said it doesnt say anything about broken teeth.
All I can do is send my sympathies and thoughts. xx
Not a nice experience for you Tibby, sounds like someone must have been very rough with the breathing tube if that is what has caused the damage. Could your own dentist verify that your teeth were in good shape prior to your surgery in which case you may be able to put in an official complaint to the hospital? Hope you are able to sort it out soon, take care love Angela x
Oh dear that is awful, when I had sedation they cracked my front tooth and I told them that I had a bridge to that tooth. Only problem is it didnt fall out until I got home. I hope your own dentist can sort you out. Take care Sue xx
