Hello there Sparkydawl, thank you for your message! I must admit I haven't heard of anything specifically that relates to torn ligaments being connected to having Fibromyalgia. That isn't to say it isn't in some way a weakness because you have the condition. It would be best to have a word with your GP, tell them you have Fibro and your concerns. Fibromyalgia by definition affects muscles and ligaments but not joints. It can also cause aching, stiffness and tiredness in muscles, tendons and ligaments around joints, but the worst aspect of fibromyalgia may be the muscle fatigue. I hope this clarifies things a little for you, hopefully your GP can shed a little more light on your tendency to tear ligaments. Hope you feel better soon too. Please report back if you can, it's always good to hear how others get on with things like this if indeed there is some connection to Fibro, many thanks!
HI libbyde I'm going to docs in morning so ill let you know what they say Tyvm for your reply x
My pleasure! Hope you get on well, I look forward to hearing back from you, take care!
hi libbyde, didnt really get the chance to ask doc as she was a bitch gonny wait to ask one of the other docs xx
Hi,my physio and others have told me my ligaments have all gone lax (stretched) and my tendons have hardened too so I have pelvic/pubic pain from my pregnancy with middle daughter, because its trying split. Also foot drop in both ankles and feet and tennis elbow etc. It all hurts
I haven't heard of that before Cerin, thank for your message. Gosh it sounds really uncomfortable for you. I hope you are getting pain relief for all of this. Our bodies do go through it don't they. I sympathise with tennis elbow, I have that in both my elbows and golfer's elbow too, can you believe it! I got the injuries through moving heavy machinery years ago at work. Take care.
Hi before I was diagnosed with fibro I was having probs with ligaments. Could not walk because of my achilles then my shoulder have had op on knee for torn ligament so yes have had loads of probe x x
perhaps hun, its your body telling you to slow down and look after yourself!
maybe you are lacking in a trace element or vitamin?
hugs xx
I had achilles tendinitis in both feet for 20mths before my rhemy would admit there was something wrong. Very painful whether walking, sitting or laying, feel they are going to snap!
She eventually sent me to a podiatrist who game me supports to put in my shoes with heel raisers. These help a bit, but can't wear them every day as when you go barefoot in the shower they won't stretch out flat again, That is then more agony than before! xx
This might sound a silly question.... Sorry if it does, but how do you know if it's a ligament. I thought they would only show upon ct or MRI scans,,,, but I might be wrong....
Only asking s I get such terrible pains in my hands. I an struggling even stiring a pan on to the hob that I try to do everything I can in the microwave.aeven cutting up my dinner canbe osinnful. Any go welcomed.
I never wish for many things in my life as I know so much would never come true, but my wishes would be able to have a bigger and more user friendly kitchen, one where i never had ti bend down or stretch up, have brand new 100% cotton sheets on my bed every night and last but not least, I'd love a new body with no pain!
Do you think that would be too much too much to ask for any of it !!!!!! xoxo
tyvm for all your replys, i still dont have any answers will need to wait and speak to one of my other doctors, as soon as i do i will let yous know xx
