It can't hurt Ann. Seems to me the more evidence you have the better .

Could you get a letter from your GP because I think that carries alot of weight. Good luck Sue x

Hospital consutant refused to do one for me this week. Asked my GP for another one as last one not enough detail in there, jus that I have fibro and struggle with day to day things. They did say they would do me another one, but that means paying private to see Doc and also paying for letter. :( Ann

I'm told the magic words you have to put on the form are 'I CANNOT WALK ANY DISTANCE WITOUT SEVERE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT' iF YOU COULD SAY YOU HAVE USE AWALKI.NG STICK THAT WOULD HELP. Also put you walk slowly and have to keep stopping for rest and recovery.

If you can't get gp to write a letter, get him to countersign the letter.

Hope this helps.

Good luck and lots of love x

So will do a letter myself and ask GP to sign it x Ann sendin luv bk x

Thats exacly what i put on my renewal for my blue badge puppdogs plus they need a written report from your GP that also helps, got mine through it was fine.. hope you get your blue badge xx good luck helen uk 1963

This is just not right the discrepancy in who get what. I applied for a blue badge a couple of months and had no trouble at all!! I said on the form that i could walk but I was always in pain, which is true. I can walk, I walk my dog for half an hour each day, but it kills me to do it! its my only form of 'exercise'

I hope you have success this time. it just seems wrong!!

Same here, you have to be in high rate mobility DLA

Its the same here in Fife Scotland. You have to be on higher rate dla, which as we all know is almost impossible to get. Its the same rule for a bus pass here....yet sometimes i feel as if im the only person on the bus who pays gggrrr. Life with fibro is sooo hard isnt it...soo unfair!!!! Sorry about the rant but all this is just soo stressful. Xx

Hi all, it seems like it depends on your local council. Maybe Fibro Action to do a surveymonkey to find out which local councils are better at looking after thier disabled community.

XXX gentle hugs, and keep up the good fight

I know its all down to the Councils funding, but now we do have to pay for our blue badge at least thats going in the pot. It ought to be all areas the same! Rant over :) I`m Smiling x Ann
