I recieved a letter this morning , it said they are looking into my claim and i will be hearing from them soon . Is it common to get a letter like this x

Yes i got one rosehip, and two days later i got a letter today saying they have turned me down. So i am appealing.

hi rosehip-they tend to send an acknowlegement out on most correspondence it's probably in their instructions to do this- take care and fingers crossed-hope you get good news when it comes-julie51 xx

Hi yes i got a letter like that last week then aweek later got one saying they cannot look any further into my claim as they need to get in touch with my GP so hopefully in 2 weekds should get a yes or a no pob the latter but there you goif it is i will not appeal i will leave it a good few months love to you diddle x

hi rosehip i had a letter saying they were looking into my claim then aweek later i had another one saying they had contacted my gp and i had to go and see him so he could fill out another form for them then two weeks later i got another letter turning me down so i have wrote to them with a supported specialised report in it to ask for them to re concider and now im just waiting ive been told the re concideration letters are taking up to 15 weeks to be dealt with so im just waitng fingers crossed you get a positive reply soon joed

I got 2 letters on same day... 1 saying they were looking into it and would be asking my dr for info, in the other letter said I would not be getting dla, I phoned the Drs and yes, they never asked for info, got welfare rights involved and was told it's standard practice of them to send refusal letter so just keep appealing, which I have now done and the letter back says it's a 27 to 31 week wait til a hearing date will be sorted, long process! Xx
