Have you actual had a letter from them saying that your DLA is stopping and a date as they will usually write to you if this is the case?

Good luck with your appeals it is something none of us should have to go through. If you are going to tribunal try and get some help with preparing. Fingers and everything crossed for you.x

Oh dear they are always fast off the mark if it is to their benefit. Mrs-Darling has given you a great link and I used the Benefit and Work site for my husband's ESA appeal. Do hope you get a successful conclusion as i said before let us know how you get on.x

fightback4justice.co.uk Contact Fightback, they are a disability rights charity and experts in helping people claiming benefits. They helped me and they have a very high success rate. Do consider a small donation if you can afford it and they're successful with your case.

anybody have any idea how long they take to make a decision

I had a home assessment 2 weeks ago ;-)

They can take up to 8 weeks to make a decision although I was really lucky and it only took a week.

See a behavioral therapist and make sure that they document that your pain is not psychosomatic that it is real and that it keeps you from being able to work and have them list in what specific ways also get a lawyer and find out what they have done in the past and if there are lawyers that do these cases with no charge like maybe for the government I was approved after being denied twice because the system said that I was too educated to be out of work so I didn't meet certain requirements in the beginning but it takes a human to read it and understand the problem not an algorithm and lots of times they put you into an algorithm and if you don't fit in it then you don't need it and you will be denied that's when you get a person to speak for you are you speak for yourself with backup from your Dr but go to the doctor as much as you can especially a behavioral therapist and a pain doctor good luck Amy in Georgia

Pip is payable whether you work or not. You need to clearly demonstrate how your disability impacts your ability to carry out day to day tasks. Show evidence of visits to your gp & hospital and any other medical practitioners such as physio. If you stumble or fall due to balance problems keep a record and take pictures of any bruises etc. The more detailed you are and the evidence you provide the better.

I had to go to a tribunal about being refused DLA two years ago, and won, so it is possible. But i have also heard that fightback for justice is good and has a 100% success rate in helping you win your case. they will attend with you, if you are within a cetain area. They are not funded, and only ask for a small donation, but it is entirely voluntary if you do donate. They will help you wether you do or not. Good Luck
