Tongue biting fibro
Hi Alistair,
I completely sympathise with you on this as it's been an ongoing problem with me for years. I have actually had to have two operations to remove lumps which it would appear have been started off with the "biting". Actually I would say my experience is perhaps more along the line of where my teeth catch on my tongue but then I start biting it as the lump grows and oh boy do I know about it.
I hope you can speak to your doctor and/or dentist about this and get some help with your problem
Foggy x
Hi Alistar69
I am so sorry to read that you have been experiencing this painful situation, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.
I have pasted you a link from NHS Choices Website as this says that there are medical conditions whereby people bite their tongue, so I hope that you find this useful:

I want to wish you all the best of luck
All my hopes and dreams for you

Hello The Author and Alistar69. I have just been reading the comments as I have just posted a very similar question. I looked at the link The Author put in his comment thread and mine could be as a result of a B12 deficiency. I am at the doctors next Wednesday for my next B12 injection so I will ask the nurse at that appointment if that could be the cause of my problem. I sincerely hope Alistar that you get your problem sorted. Gentle hugs
KImberley

Hi Alistair. Just like you I keep biting my Tongue. I didn't no it was to do with Fibro . All I now is I have forgotten what it's like not to have a tongue that doesn't hert . What with the pain of Fibro it just goes on and on. Take care
Check if your tongue is larger than it used to be and if it is scalloped round the edges. Either of these is a symptom of untreated hypothyroidism, which very often explains the symptoms of fibromyalgia too.
Google 'pie crust tongue' and compare the pictures with yours.
Hi, this happens to me all the time, I think it's because on tooth is quite sharp, my dr has given me some small hydrocortisone tablet to put on the ulcer and they really help xx
I have this too, biting cheeks tongue and lips, I have got some Bonjela for adults, and Daktarin mouth cream. I never associated it with Fibro, cos one of my friends once asked her doctor about it, and he said lots of people do this, and it's due to ageing??
My tongue is enlarged, so I end up biting it and my lip and cheek's too. It's suppose to be a sign of hyperthyroidism. Although my labs are always okay??? xxx Mitzi
