Anyone managed to get a blue badge for the car please?
Yes i have a blue badge, you can apply on line i believe now, and you get them from your local council
Thanks jay jay. I can walk. And can see. That is all the form seems to be interested in.
hi there - my doctor helped me. i explained that i needed to have my car door fully open so i could get in or out. if i cant do this then my back goes into spasm, twisting my back too. hope this helps xx
Yes I have just re-newed mine, another 3yrs of freedom!
Had to get a letter from GP for first one, I also have osteoarthuritus, so not sure if I could get it for just fibro. You may have to "fib" a little on the distance you can walk, I had to but couldn't do without it. Truth is some days I can walk further than others, just told them a bad day's distance.
Good luck!
I have one but I do have problems walking a great distance , I got in touch with my local social services who wrote to my gp . This was before my diagnosis as well
Hello
I have a blue badge and do not even have a car,it is for when i get lifts etc,i can only walk short distances without trouble, and i didnt need a letter from my dr,
hope that helps.
My GP helped me to get my Blue Badge.
My Blue Badge helped me to get the higher rate of the mobility component of the DLA.
And getting that qualified me for a Motability car.
I always keep my badge in my handbag so it can be used with any car that I go in - as driver or passenger.
I no longer drive. It s for our car. I can walk. My legs are ok. But walking jars my spine then my neck and my head. Thing is they won't accept that. And apparently migraines. My worst symptom don't count !!!!
