its the only one we have and i find it so difficult if we are visiting somewhere or if he cant get a parking place near enough for me to be able to walk to. i quite often have to wait in the car while he pops to a certain shop, i have fibromyalgia and copd.

Yes you definately can, also the blue badge is for the person, not the car, so you can use it if you are a passenger with someone else too.

It depends really, sometimes you have to fight for it. I couldn't get it until I got higher rate dla but it is for you not the car and can only be used for you to go from car to where ever you want to go. It cannot be used for you to sit in car and the driver to go to shops for you. Apply for it and fingers crossed you will get it.

best of luck, it makes a big difference. You can also have mobility allowance with DLA for getting around outdoors.

Yes you can, its easier if you have higher rate mobility as you automatically qualify for one, if you dont you have to pass an accessment of some sort, i only know this as i recently enquired about one and have had all the paper work through, Hope this helps :) Willow

Willow's advice was spot on, Susie. You may have to push if you're on lower rate mobility, but it's pretty much automatic on higher.

I have got one. I can't drive (not through lack of trying), don't have a car and live alone. It's a godsend sometimes. Friends are able to take me to the seaside and we can park on the promenade. Nice, easy walking on level ground. I used to practice my walking there. Also handy when people take me shopping,
