just back from docs (another locum) she put me on highest dose of tramadol but modified release so will work 24 hours as one tablet in morn one in evening. small packet of diazapam as she said im not abusing it (allowed 10 tablets a month) and she doubled my anti depressant dose xx have to go back in 3 weeks and if all ok with new tablets/dose they can then put them on repeat xx

Im on the MR tramadol, they work for me but am 2 twice daily, they work until about 2 hours before the nxt dose but can cope with that.

I was on the ordinary tramadol but was taken the max dose and still in pain, so good luck anne xx

Good luck with your new drug regimen. I'm on full dose of ordinary tramadol now and still in pain a lot of the time. I think I am taking them more because they pep me up a bit and I can get a bit done. I thought that was abusing them but when I told my GP, she didn't seem bothered saying that if they are helping me to live more normally then they are still treating my FM! The pain is a different matter will ask about the MR tramadol to see if she thinks they are stronger.
