Hello Molly may nice to meet youn

I have just been swapped from pregabalin to gabapentin by the pain teams prof of pharmacy ! I was very scared but I stopped pregabalin without any issues and started on 300mg three times a day for a week then increased each week by 300mg up to 1200mg three times a day .i had to increase it fast as the pain I was getting from not taking pregabalin was awful .i have had a slight headache paracetamol and forehead fix that I think a much slower increase would have been better ,I'm more alert and less drowsy when awake but sadly pregabalin is so far better with pain it reduces it even when not on max dose .i have to stay on gabapentin for 6 weeks and then if I prefer pregabalin they are hoping I can trick my brain into thinking its first time I have had it and hopefully it will work like it did when I first started on pregabalin .I had best 6 months since I been ill ,hopefully the gabapentin just needs bit more time until it does the same .i hope this all makes sense I am still bit fibro foggy .Good luck I don't know what I would do with out either pregabalin or gabapentin.

Take care

Love squeak 🐷🐭xx

I do not take this medication but I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this. It may be worth applying for ESA but there are no guarantees these days that you will win an award. Many members have needed to go to appeal. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

Al my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I'm on that drug 900mg 3,times a day ,it is very good. But be careful cause it makes you sleepy, and you put on weight ,also with me ,my hair started to full out at the front, I'm not sure if that was the Gabapentin or a mixture of all my DRUGS ,I'm on ,46 tablets a day.

I hope it works for you ,an you get less pain ,

All the best.

Big Hugs.

Love

JJ xx

Hi there I am on gabapentin as well and am fortunate enough not to have any of the side effects, personally I am on 700mg three times a day.

I was also fortunate to be granted PIP and ESA on the first go, though I do have other problems as well
