Hi Rosehip.

If you look through the various blogs and questions on the forum, you'll find most of us suffer from one sleeping problem or another, so you're not alone.

I hope you get your sleeping problems under control. It's certainly worth seeing what other people are going through and you might find some helpful advice. Just do a search for 'sleep' and see what comes up.

I've just written a blog myself about 5 mins ago on exactly the same subject!

Try to get some sleep tonight, even if it's just a little bit. Your poor body needs it.

Hugs,

Carolanne. xx

I agree with Carolanne- it seems like it's part and parcel of this condition. I havent slept properly for years even though I've tried everything to help. Now I sleep when I can, I'm always nodding off watching tv- never see a programme to the end!

I hope you manage to get some sleep and sending you gentle hugs xxx

I think sleep or lack of is one of the main probs with fibro. If you dont sleep your body doesnt recover. Muscles, brain all need restful sleep. Now I am not working I do the same as MissKiittycat but always wake in a "stew" xxxx

hi yes as kestral says look at some of the blogs lol we all the same and suffer with our sleep well i shouldnt say all that would be an untrue statement but alot of us do love to you diddle xxxx

ps your not alone bless you xx

according to the specialist the proble with not sleeping is you never get to stage 3 of sleep so when you think you are asleep all your really doing is napping but not sleeping apart from pain is i think one of the worst parts of fibro as it makes you feel worse but most of us will tell you if you feel tired and you can then take a nap sometimes them naps might go longer than an hour or two, good luck and soft hugs

hi i have slept 2/4 hours a night for the last 12yrs mine is due to fibro but also night shift workers syndrome, it can b hard and very depressing and exhausting but i cope, try not to sleep during the day try and be relaxed when you go to bed. listen to me i sound like a doctor, i dont know if i will ever get a full 8/12 hours sleep, my doctor says we just dont switch off. i do get alot of pain through the night if anyone else does ive just got some from poundland its called tiger balm, it stinks but i put it on my burning knees yesterday i could put the quilt over them so im goin to try them on some other parts and see, gud luk it might work it might not we can only try
