Hi all

I am starting a positive blog today, what DID you do yesterday that you felt positive about. I made 4 cards using paper and jewels, stick ons ribbons etc. they looked really good when I had finished . I then made 3 lots of cakes which I haven't done for ages. So today.... we can start eating them.

Hiya,

What a brilliant idea! :)

I had a day off work and did absolutely nothing which is what I've been saying I would do for a very long time. That's the best I can do, sorry lol.

Can you put a pic of the cards you made on? I've love to see them.

Hugs Sue xx

Just joined this blog, never blogged before ! :-) Nice to hear something positive and I'm a card maker too ... when I can which isn't often. I think the best way to get a better day is without the stress, I tried focusing on what I was doing yesterday and shutting out all the other stuff (negative) it helped :-)

Hi BlueBunny,

I like to make cards but I'm not very good. That's not being very positive is it! :) I wish I had more time to practice.

Hi Sue1952, I think we're all our own worst critic, people love the personal touch, better to have something to aspire to :-) I'm too fond of watching create and craft (watching when cant do) and learnt a lot.

Have fun x

in reply toBlueBunny

Funnily enough that's what the lady in the craft shop said to me last Sunday lol. It's true, people do like the personal touch don't they.

I love create and craft too, I wish they'd do more demos and talk less lol.

I watch quite abit of cbeebies :(

Glad others like this, I think it is easy sometimes to focus on all the negative stuff and sometimes we forget that we do actually achieve something albeit a little step in a day. What ever I do I have a rest after, then go onto the next thing, I find that helps too. PS how does everyone do these smiley faces??? x x x

The only ones I can do saluki are :) which is the colon and the ) with no spaces and the frown which is the colon and (. Hope that helps, not very with it today....

A few of the girls know how to do the others, they'll come along and tell you....

Hugs Sue :) xx

Being positive is the name of game.2 thoughts you rule fibro or fibro rules you!I have done Expert Patient Programs(EPP) it has positive thinking as a module within the course(its free)! Its a positive thought to go give it a try?

in reply toskit

I will have a look. How long does it take?

Sue

Hi Skit, I have also done the EPP programme, it was good just wished it could have lasted longer. ;)

saluki25

Hi Sue

I think the programme was 7 weeks including the first week being an introduction , getting your books etc. We had to commit to doing something positive each week even if it was only something simple. Sometimes someone would say they walked to the post box down the road and back and then the next week they went further.

You can refer yourself onto the course so look it up in your area and asked to be put on the next one. The only criteria is that people are living with a long term condition.

Thanks for that saluki,

I work with kids for 10 hours a day, 4 days a week so I think I'm ok with the positive thing lol. xx

Well I have, and what I want to know is you get these from snogging, and what`s going on with me noo noo.Even the doc asked if I had had .........you know that!!!!!

Well I haven`t I am untouched by human hand, lips or anything else for that matter.

But my poor body say`s otherwise. it`s that darn ghost again.

Or maybe that wasn`t a dream about standing on a street corner

OHHHHH EEEEEERH MRS

:-)xxxxx

in reply toButterfly54

I don't think you just get them just from snogging hun, the virus lays dormant in your body and if you're lucky you never get one and if you're not, you do.

I got Glandular Fever when I was 28 and that was called the Kissing Disease wasn't it. I was married then, didn't do any kissing whatsoever! LOL

The only kissing I do now is with my little ones......

What a wonderful idea. Yesterday was a tough day for me but today I made it to my pilates class so that was good. I have also started writing a cv for a friend and am now making a curry (a bit naughty as it has cashew nuts in it) but smells lovely.

I'd love to do pilates - and yoga. Glad you had a better day today bluehippo.

The curry sounds lovely, I've just ordered mine from the local takeaway :).

Hii well that was yesterday so cannot remember now haha ohps -/ but i went through a phase of card making and loved it!! but since i became selfemployed i have never had the time anymore, found it therapeutic and rewarding knowing i was making it and that my friends and family would keep forever instead of throwing in the bin. I miss it i do i do i doooo xx you will have to show us some ..i have great trouble with pics on here i have tried so much

hmm. I will try and post photos but I have trouble doing it too. I have also made loads of ear rings which was great fun. Originally my daughter and I made them for the Sports relief fund but we still have some left over. Now trying to make bracelets too which is fun.

My positive actions today are, washing up, worked for 2 hours, did a bit of cleaning and touched up some painting chips on doors etc. Now sitting with my feet up watching tele. All manged courtesy of my drug quota this morning and through the day!!! but feel better for doing some outstanding jobs.

hugs to all and hope you have something positive to report.
