Staying Positive

I haven't posted apart from a reply before but check in daily, the answers and support on here are amazing. I'm in the process of being diagnosed in between Neurology, Rheumatology and GP (that keeps leaving and then need to go through the whole story again everytime - oh well!!) Anyhow I've had a mixed week, a lot of pains especially in my arms but managed to start the gym this week which if not physically mentally made me feel better. Not much sleep but there never is, first full week back at work I'm absolutely cream crackered. I have a fab hubby and two amazing daughters supporting me, wider family not so much which gets me down at times but today I am going to stay positive and wanted to share something I found on Pinterest - I am going to keep this as a reminder that no matter how down and in pain I feel at times I do have good days and on those days I'm going to punch FM in the face. Thanks for listening :) <3

Hi there

Good luck with getting a diagnosis.

I like your post. It's a good thing to have pinned on the fridge door or somewhere it will be seen a lot.

I love that. I think I will add this sentiment to my "god box."

Hi schalkies1968

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I genuinely hope that you find the forum useful, informative and loads of fun! Thank you so much for your post, I really love the message and agree with this wholeheartedly.

I am so sorry to read however, that you are struggling at this time, and I genuinely hope that you manage to ascertain a diagnosis one way or the other very soon? If I could give one piece of advice to anyone with Fibro it would be to keep a diary of what is happening to them?

Measure your pain on a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being no pain and 10 being the worst pain you can imagine. Next to this write where the pain was in your body and a brief description of what type of pain it was? i.e. stabbing, burning aching etc? Then finally write down how long the pain lasted for.

It may also help to keep a note in your diary of other issues and symptoms that arise such as fatigue or Fibro fog etc. By doing this you will have something tangible in your hands whenever you go to your GP, physio or Specialist! I genuinely believe in going well armed to my appointments and making sure that I do not leave my medical specialists in any doubt that I mean business and want answers!

I want to wish you all the best of luck and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you are so desperately looking for.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken x
