DLA IS IT BACK DATED ????

Hi if you are lucky enough to be awarded DLA do they back date your payments to the date that is on your application form ? so i am applying on 21 may and if i have to wait say six weeks do they give you those 6 weeks money or does it start from the day they say yes , this is all very wish full thinking by the way !! love diddle x

Diddle, i think they pay you from the date you phoned?

aslong as you get it back in time.

yes they pay from the day you request the form, whether that be phone or email. unless you state on the form you want it backdated further back than this, and you have reason for wanting this xx

Yes diddle you will get a nice ammount back dated for how ever long it takes them to sort it.

I picked up my DLA form from the Job Centre and they stamped it the day I collected it. My award was backdated to that date.xx
