Burning sensation
Hi Star-light I suffer with burning thighs in the night. My legs are cold throughout the day but when I get into bed my thighs burn, yet from my knees down are really cold. It’s a weird trying to warm my knees feet up and the quilt is off my thighs. Told doctor not interested just say don’t know why.
Hi Paula9087Thank you for replying, although it's not nice to hear of your suffering. Mine is right calf it started Sunday,it doesn't bother me in bed it's just when I start moving around. It's the weirdest feeling, burning, tingling numb...I've looked up symptoms and it does suggest this feeling. My doctors aren't informed enough to give an answer and I can't get to speak to rheumatologist for weeks. I'm having surgery on left foot next week and will have to rely on my right leg and crutches for at least 8 weeks so I was a little concerned about what's going on. Our bodies are so complex aren't they
Hello and welcome, I do read here members get burning sensations in different places with their fibro, sorry your doctors don’t seem too help you with information , a good forum too read posts , lots helpful info x
Yes, always put the burning down to neuropathy but honestly I really don't know what weird symptom is coming from what these days?😵💫
Me too..... having my worse time at the moment strange sensations in my body that I can't even describe. I'm run down as not eating or sleeping properly since I've been put on sick and stressing about my up coming op and I'm putting it all down to that. Although I am seeing that other people are struggling it's nice to know there's others like me out there
Hello...the burning sensations come and go sometimes both legs, other times just in one area. Try to do some restorative yoga - basically, lie down, cover yourself with a light blanket, prop your feet up on a pillow, head on the floor, relax your arms, just breathe slowly, while listening to some gentle music. Not a magic cure but a moment to unwind and give your body a rest...
Yep unfortunately I've had burning on and off for years. The gp has always said its Fibromyalgia and sent me on my way lol. However he now says it's Peripheral neuropathy. To be honest I don't think the drs know 🤔
Hi, I get the burning sensations in my fingers, toes, knees and head - the sensation comes on very intense, very suddenly and eventually just disappears, and reappears whenever it wants
my legs every night in bed , it’s as if I’ve sun burned them , my legs are in and out of bed all night , but that’s all , I’m not sure if it’s because I’m on them all day or not , but one thing for sure if I have had sugar in the evening it’s much worse , I really try not to allow it to control me , hope you’re ok 😁
hi yer I have been getting this for three years diagnosed with lupus after bloods done then since fibromyalgia diagnosis recently I am getting this widespread no help from doctors save your breath and energy I don’t have it to waste. I have learnt that anything I report that’s your fibromyalgia!
It’s there get out card. Really fed up. Take care guys🙏
Yes, in my face. I liken it to the feeling of being exposed to steam and the pain you get after scalding. It started off with my head being painful to touch on the left side. That subsided and then I noticed this sensation in the left side of my face. It is sensitive to touch, even the barest touch. The burning in my ankles, calves and hamstrings are unbearable at night on occasion. Take care x
Hi, Yes, just in right calf no were else it gets hot to touch.
I get burning sensation in end of my toes on right foot
Yes i get burning in armpits…first time it happened just thought somehow I’d had a reaction to something chemical so kept ‘washing’ it off, then when again realised it wasn’t that….only get it occasionally I put it down to a ‘trapped’ nerve messaging that my brain interpreted as burning; I have 4 decades of neck/ vertebrae problems that normally cause much worse pain/ stiffness, so this was just a query but liveable ‘side effect’ never gone elsewhere, and not like fibro. ache or boring/ drilling pain I get everywhere else.
