Hi , I am new on here and was wondering if anyone has burning in their legs ( worst at night) as if you are laid in a bath of boiling water. If so what do you take to relieve it and does anything help with this. I am on pregabylin 150mg + 75 in morn and same at night increasing it nxt week if it doesn't help until I reach 300mg morn and night.

It's trial and error aud39, go back and pester your GP till you get something that will hopefully relieve it.
Good luck

Go for it, be a pest, I am lol.
I get burnnig legs and burning feet especially on the sole of the feet.it is such an odd odd sensation but i dont anything for it like most i just ride it through
My Mum used to get that and we never did find out what it was but it really bothered her.
Hi, I get it in my hands and feet mostly, so hot I dont know what to bo with them. Its a recent new symptom for me so I dont take anything for it but if it persists I'll be back off to my GP armed with some info off here
I get the same, my legs and especially my heels are on fire. I can't even put them on the sheepskin rug my hubby bought for me. The slightest thing touching my feet and legs sends me round the twist. I was prescribed Methocarbamol for my 'Restless Legs and Burning Legs and Feet', I take 2 x 750mg and within an hour the symptoms have eased. Before taking this medication I would be almost screaming with it. Having something to ease the burning and discomfort has been wonderful.
Hi Libbyde, If I dont get any relief from the meds I'm taking I will mention these tablets to my gp. I would love to be able to get in bed and not have the burning. Thanks for info.
omg, can't believe I saw this post as I was just about to post about it myself. I started getting this on top of all the other stuff about a month ago. I already have RLS which was around the same time as the Fibro started. I bought a 'body pillow' in Argos to help with positioning, but my whole body AND body pillow has to move to each side when the burning in the thighs becomes too much.
I didn't realise it could be a symptom of Fibro? I take Tramadol prn, but I regularly take Gabapentin and a Buprenorphine patch.
It's pretty horrible isn't it and just add another problem into the equation of Fibro which I find really frustrating
Not legs but burning hands and feet sometimes
Hi Aud39, my doctor gave me amitriptyline for the legs jumping around in bed, it stopped within a couple of days of starting this medication, he told me its good for restless legs syndrome, that was 2 years ago, about 6 months ago I developed this burning pain in my thighs, its worse in my left leg than my right and it keeps me awake, so I found they work very well for the jumpy legs but not the burning pain.

Hi nuttytartuk, I am now on the full strength of pregabylyn and no satisfaction. Going back to docs she will most likely be taking me off them and trying something else. I hate the feeling of going to bed as I know what to expect. Aud x
Hello all. I have RLS and Arthritis in both knees I get the burning in my legs, feet and back of my thighs. I have several remedies that help me so hopefully they will help you too. First of all I take a hot bath in Epsom salts to ease my legs sometimes only this remedy is enough to help you get off to sleep. When I get nasty flare ups I find that taking an Aspirin helps to cool and thin the blood out. I also take Turmeric capsules to reduce inflammation. But by far the best solution is Apple cider vinegar mixed with honey it is a great reliever of hot legs etc just mix 2 tablespoons full of asv with hot water and the same measurement of honey let it cool down and sip it when you need to. Hope this helps.
