Burning skin sensation

I get this burning sensation on my forearms, sides of my torso and inner thighs. It’s as if I had peeled my skin off or had blisters. My skin isn’t irritated or anything. As a matter of fact, it looks perfectly fine. It just burns really, really bad. It feels worst if anything rubs against it. When I tell my Dr that my skins hurts/burns, he looks at me like I’m crazy and tells me he doesn’t see anything wrong. Anyone else experienced this? It’s like a cold burning feeling.

Morning, I have read here that a lot of members due feel their skin is burning , if I knock myself sometimes I get a burning sensation, our fibro bodies do seem to be ultra sensitive, glad the doc feels that everything is okay, there’s no need to give that look though as if we are talking nonsense we are just trying to explain things xx

Hiya, I just wanted to drop you a message and say that you’re not alone on this one. it was actually one of the things that helped point my doctors in the right direction as to what was wrong with me. I haven’t found a solution to it other than an ice pack does provide some temporary relief!

Hi,

I've been having burning skin sensation for over 2 years , mainly from pressure -when I lean back on a chair or lie down in bed , it's quite bad -i cannot sit on an office chair or relax at all, I tried nortriptyline, it didn't help , trying cbd oil now -not much help either , cold/heat help for a short period of time . I think it's called pressure allodynia /hyperalgesia

I’m not yet diagnosed but think I may have fibromyalgia following a lower back operation.. burning feet and hands which go bright red. Pain in chest, sore ribs, shoulders and neck. Strange cold flushes and water dripping sensations all over body. Plus restless legs and arms. Bewildering and depressing....

I think it's standard stuff for this bloody awful condition. My thighs are constantly burning and often my arms. Makes no sense but it just is! Stay happy x

Your not alone! In the early days of fibro I never had this symptom, but it’s gradually crept in over the last few years. Sitting here as we speak feeling like someone has ripped all the skin off my thighs and arms. Hang in there, I find it comes and goes
