Bursitis in hip!!

Can anyone tell me if bursitis is related to fibro please? Absolute agony, so am hoping meds will help.

Hi Trikki, it's been a while . Sorry to hear of your painful hip.

Fibromyalgia and bursitis are two different conditions that can have similar symptoms, but they have some key differences.

One difference is Fibromyalgia pain is widespread and can feel like deep muscle pain, while bursitis pain is localized to the affected joints. I hope it settles down for you soon take care.

I have fibro but I’ve had bursitis in my hips many see if you can get your go to agree to a cortisone injection. It definitely helped me. Good luck.

Hi, I’ve had it in both hips over the years and the only thing that helped me was the steroid injections so they are definitely worth a try xx

No..anyone can get bursitis…I have RA & I find it comes & goes for no apparent reason…then it can disappear for months. Hope yours passes off soon.
