I have received my review forms from pip and went to diac to help fill them out and all she wrote on my forms on each question was no change that was it , is this enough on my forms she said that’s all you need to put , I’ve had a review before and they have always filled it in ,

Sorry I’m not great at putting pen to paper has they say thanks for listening Glyn

Hi there, unless there have been any specific changes since your last review not sure what else you can put.

I'm sure if they need more information they will let you know. But has there is no change all they have to do is look up your last review.

It will be interesting to know if the forms are acceptable . If they are it may be a way forward for many who need to fill in their review forms. Definitely less stressful. May I ask are you in Scotland or England it may make a difference. Good luck.

In my review I stated no change other than one question and provided proof of that change. My pip continued.

Hi, I recently received my own through and contacted my local citizens advice. He said very specifically not to write no change, instead write down (if there is no change) what you wrote down the first time when you applied.

Think you should be fine. No changes, unfortunately tells them your condition and the effect of it on your day to day living still meet the points required. This site is invaluable to anyone navigating PIP or any benefit. I am not affiliated in any way, found them and downloaded a few guides on how to fill in the forms, well worth it. Good luck. Dont worry you will be fine. 🤞

The advice on this is conflicting:

On the one hand I got strangely lucky once, and was told by a senior person within the DWP to put NO CHANGE under all the relevant questions, and that was coming from someone, who lets say, has close proximity to the process in a position of considerable authority.

On the other hand, I've read that simply putting no change can leave you vulnerable to an assessor who either has not read, or does not have access to your previous form and you should effectively rewrite your form again. Or instead say: this and this has not changed, however it has become harder to do this activity because., etc., etc.,

I chose to ignore the former advice and went with the latter, as I did have some changes. But whether adding those changes made a difference or was even necessary to include, I doubt.

I really regretted making that decision.

Not to put anyone off, but it led to a really awful Pip review that was worse than my initial claim, went right back to basics, took 3 hours during which I felt like I was being interrogated for a crime. I was left bed bound with exhaustion from being forced to retain sustained attention for that long and was left in tears for days afterwards and feeling like my dignity was shredded. After several days I wanted to complain, but thought twice about rocking the boat and was going through private family grief as well, so didn't feel robust enough. I would have either been an angry raging banshee to them or too upset to not fall apart on the phone. In any case my pip was renewed at the end of the day!

So my advice is keep it simple but write out personal points for yourself under each question that you can refer to if required to be interviewed. They had changed my interview from F2F to phone. Whether it was better I don't know.

I think at this moment in time, when all Benefits are being reviewed - …..there will be a period of revision …..including the PIP Benefit,so don’t worry if it seems to take a while to get replies.

Hi, I maybe wrong in your case but the people who help with these forms generally have a good idea of how to respond. Reviews are just that, has anything changed, when, and what. At the moment Reviews are taking months to complete. It's probably something to do with the DWP changed of providers. My wife has been waiting since May this year 2024. It's always good to start thinking about your mandatory reconsideration though.
