Good morning Can anyone tell me please, that when you have to do your pip review do you have to fill in all the forms again you did for applying for pip, in the first place.? Or is it just an assessment to see if things have changed.?

Pip assessment review
A review assessment is to check for any changes since your last award was made.
You can contact our benefits team for guidelines on completing the form
Hi there, it may be different in Scotland or they may have made changes in England since I last did mine. But I recall I had all the forms to fill out again. Then under went a 2 hour home assessment.

Depending on where you live (I'm in Scotland) they are swapping PIP to Adult Disability Payment. The assessment forms are to be completed if there are any changes to your health condition or conditions. My award was until Jan but in October they sent me forms to complete and return. My condition has changed a bit so I completed the forms but then they chased me saying they hadn't received them. When I spoke to DWP they said they had now received them and that it would take a lot longer than January for my review to be looked at and that payments would continue until then. If you have no changes the form gives you the option to say so on each section.
Hi P61.
I had to reapply for my PiP award & it's approximately every 5 or 6 years ( mind U due to covid everyone's was automatically extended )
Also our Scottish cousins are correct about how PiP is now ADP & I believe its been going over 12 months now.
OK back to PiP, I had to fill out a form last December for the award that was ending in January 2024 but this was done due to the massive backlog that & I was award PiP for the next 4 years starting August 2023.
When filling out ur forms give as much written detail if how ur health has become worse since the last time U applied & if U have medical evidence to back up ur claim but only send them copies of letters.
If they invite U for an interview go if ur able to & take someone with U be it family friend or a welfare rights officer from ur local council , in fact the welfare rights officer can help U fill out ur form. If U can't attend an interview ask them to come to U instead & again have someone with U.
Ask them their name & credentials & do they specialise in the conditions that ur applying for help with. Record the interview but make them aware that ur recording.
DON'T let them use leading questions or ask questions that have nothing to do with ur condition, they do that to everyone & they've been given these trip up questions to use & also if they ask a question & U don't understand it ask them to explain what they mean exactly. If they ask about how U are on ur good days tell simply that there are no good days as everyday is painful , horrible & is ripping U apart as that's how I feel almost everyday.
If U do need a letter from ur GP then spend the monet it will cost as it will help U so much. If they ask for permission to speak to ur medical professionals give them permission as U have nothing to hide.
Write any questions U have ready prepared so U can read them in front of them & if u need to wear reading glasses then do that too. Also take ur medication with U too especially if the interview falls at the time ur meds are due to be taken as its what U do all the time.
I hope I've covered enough but if U have any questions that U don't wish to write our aloud for all to see then in box & I'll hopefully be able to answer them that way.
Lastly
I wish U love & light on ur journey.
Hello I had review and had conditions that had got worse but my benefits advisor said to still give examples of your conditions and how it still affects you even if no change as my motto is more info and supportive paperwork saves having to supply additional evidence I always give as much info and descriptions on every descriptors covered as better more than not enough I went from reviews every two years to ongoing and enhanced rates on both elements as in the past I had supplied only some examples I also advise getting recorded assessment and requesting copy of assessment report as I found that doing that gives you evidence if not all info or examples recorded correctly and as stated learnt that from assessment I had in 2014 where I found 30 incorrect items in my report
Hi 22pagets22Did you record the interview yourself or was it done by them at your request? I just wondered because I thought it had to be done formally by them. However, l was told that it was a big deal for them to do it.
Big hugs
Jaxie 😀
