Dreaded pip review

Hi all. Sorry to repeat anything that might have been answered.

Has anyone written "no change" on Thier pip review and actually had it renewed ?

I don't know what to write because I have no further evidence to provide , other than what they had last time. Drs and medical professionals just say that you have to live with it and do the best you can .

I feel that if you don't have constant back up with drs notes etc the DWP just don't believe you.

Concerned about what to write and only have limited time to return the forms so any help please...

CAB are too busy to help 😩

I think you need to say more than just No Change and repeat the information about how you are affected. If you got a score of 4 for anything on the Daily Living, you really do need to retain that, so focus on ensuring you keep it. Attach a list of all the GP appointments you've had, a list of the medication that's on repeat from your GP, a copy of your blue badge if you have one. Do you have a stair lift? - enclose a photo. A seat in the shower - enclose a photo. You get the idea - provide as much proof as you can.

Thank you for your help. I do have a blue badge but I got that because I get PIP so doesn't that sort of negate it ....I will send a copy of it tho. It all helps I suppose.

Personally I treat a review as a new claim. Having just gone through the process the assessor went through my form line by line. They also asked how many times I had seen my GP in the last year for each condition. The also wrote to my GP for information on how my conditions affect me. Personally I think writing no change does not help you. The more examples you can give on how your problems affect you the better. My assessment was all about function and what limits those functions. Who helps me and how. What aids I use, who diagnosed my condition, what support I have in the community. My assessment was totally different from my previous one and even if the changes do no come until next year it is my belief that the assessors are already using a new criteria. My advice is there is no such thing as too much information I would fill the form out with as much detail as possible.

Hi does your local council not have welfare support that could help you with your application. It might be worth while checking if they could help you.

My review wasn't due so I only have a limited time to respond (as usual) funny how they take as much time as they like and you get 30 days or Jess depending on if they send it by 2nd class ... Which of course they did so you only get a month from the date on the letter and not a month from when you receive it... 😭🤬

Hi. Look up 'Benefits and Work' an organisation set up to help claimants complete their forms. They have lots of free guidance but you can subscribe for more in depth advice. They also do a Newsletter full of all the latest Government legislation regarding DWP. Good luck.

I wrote everything down and kept it and when I had to fill in the form I wrote the same as before plus new health issue and any new doctors reports but never put no change ( in my opinion only) always fill in the form as you always have, I also had a house assessment when I first applied 13 years ago and I phoned and asked for a copy of report as it was a retired Gp that assessed me and he award me full mobility and middle rate care and if I need to do a new form I will use the drs report. I’ve not had another assessment. ( touch wood)
