I have just finished chemo for the last 7 months. The type of cancer I have is Hodgkin lymphoma unfortunately a lot of my symptoms were similar to fibromyalgia. I was very tired, even resting didn’t help, poor sleeping, wide spread pain. Hot and cold sweats. My cancer was picked up when the pain clinic requested a body scan as I had back and leg pain with sciatica a problem I have had for 30years. It showed lymphoma, I didn’t have glands swollen glands in my neck or my armpits or My groin . By the time I had a successful biopsy. I had stage three Hodgkin lymphoma. So if you think something is different go to your GP , the only extra symptoms I had was very itchy skin and and my weight had changed. Don’t blame fibromyalgia for every symptom you might have. I’m now weighing for a 6 week scan . Hopefully the chemo worked.

Sorry to hear this, but you are correct we shouldn't blame Fibro for everything. Hope that the Chemo has worked and that the cancer has gone completely. x Sending you gentle hugs x 🤗🤗
sorry to hear about your diagnosis. This is why we are always focussing on core symptoms of fibromyalgia. The sweats are not core fibro symptoms.
When there is a variation on this then we should be talking to the GP.
I hope your chemo and further treatment is successful.
Sorry to hear you have been going through cancer treatment. I hope your chemo therapy and healing go smoothly. Thank you for sharing. Sending hugs and healing blessings 💐💛
So sorry to hear of the news! I am glad you finished the chemo, you are a tough cookie and I know you can fight this too! Rest well and eat well, your body needs all the care for a speedy recovery!

Oh dizzy2day, this is hard to read, im so sorry you have a cancer diagnosis. I also had blood cancer and was misdiagnosed, recently had a sct and now have fibromyalgia.Treatment is challenging remember to be kind to yourself, dont push yourself too hard, allow your body and mind to recover. Sending you hugs
Wishing you well 🤗 x
My husband had Hodgkins when he was 30. He had to go to the GP 4 times before they sent him to oncology, even though he had a huge lump on his neck. The hospital was shocked, apparently there was only one thing it could be. He was stage 4 by the time he got diagnosed bc it had spread to both sides of the diaphragm.
He started chemo and within 2 months it was gone, although he had to finish the 6 month course. This happened despite them having to stop using one of the meds because it scared his lungs.
I hope it goes well for you, its hard, the chemo is hard, but it can work wonders.
Xx
I just wanted to send lots of best wishes for you for brighter days ahead x
I hope it all goes well and you get an all clear x
you are right, not everything is down to fibromyalgia and sorry you have had to go through all of this, sending a hug and well wishes for the future xx
I completely agree. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and CFS years ago. In January I had an emergency operation to remove a Gangrenous and Septic Gallbladder. All I can say is I have no more Fibro symptoms, I had Brain Fog, Blurred Vision, extreme Fatigue pain. The usual set of symptoms that are so debilitating. It's definitely worth having an open mind and not putting everything down to that. Be your own advocate.
While I agree we shouldn't blame everything on fibro. My sister cannot get anyone to address her concerns about non-fibro symptoms she is having. Everyone she has seen has said it is just the fibro and they can't do anything. (I'm talking like 20+ appointments with various doctors) So I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to convince doctor's that its anything other than the fibro.
And, the thing is, I don't even know if my sister has fibro. Because barely anything else has been ruled out. It's a literal nightmare.
So very sorry to hear your news, but hopeful that the treatment will beat this awful disease. Take care and best of luck for the future xx.
Another illness with si.ilar symptoms [ for the ladies out there] is BIL [ breast implant illness] so do go for a ck up if you have them there can be "sileny ruptured" take care all & best wishes for your checkup xxxxx
Thinking of you as you step forward...Not an easy route,I know!
All the very best wishes to you.

So sorry to hear that you have undergone both misdiagnosis and then the challenge of cancer to deal with. I really hope that you get the all clear permanently and, what's more, now get to enjoy a much better quality of life and health. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀🍀Do you mind me asking what type of scan you had? Was it a PET scan as opposed to the usual CT or plain MRI normally used to look for joint issues?
Did you also have abnormal blood results, or was diagnosis made purely on the basis?
Thanks
