Hello All. I started to have loads fo headaches lasting for days. I have been going hot and cold 🥶 and not able to sleep 🙃.

I had fibromyalgia for over 20 years and never had headaches before the sweating is linked to fibromyalgia for sure. I also have pain around my middle of my body . Has anyone esle had anything like this linked to fibromyalgia because there are so many symptoms to fibromyalgia it hard to know if this is something else. 🤔 any advise would help. Best wishes to you all.

Hello, I know headaches can be a symptom of fibro, I am prone too headaches and differently over heating which is also can be a symptom, I did have my eyes tested recently at Specsavers , they were brilliant and I paid for this OCT scan £10 which is more in depth at looking at the back of the eye. I have also mentioned headaches too my doctor, have you spoken too your GP lately?sometimes for a piece of mind too rule out anything else. Take care x

Thank you for your feedback. I was at my GP last Friday and said he wasn't sure if fibromyalgia and headaches are linked. ?? He told me to write down the how many I get and how they made me feel and he would review again in two weeks. Not very helpful at all. The headaches have been ongoing for the last two Month 😫 you take care too. Xx

Glad you are being reviewed and helpful too write down every episode, where the pain is coming from, sometimes mine are over my eyes and my neck aches ,whether it can be sharp pain or consistent,I have read headaches are a symptom of fibro, amazes me how doctors either don’t seem too say much about this condition or not always clued up on our health condition , let us know how you get along xx

Hello Nipper11

Sending some solidarity with you for your symptoms.

Yes my Fibromyalgia started with a 15 month long headache, where it felt like my brain was bashing on my occipit inside my skull and all over tenderness just under the surface of my skull. It has eased somewhat now, but I still can’t laugh or talk too much, or do my folk dancing as it comes back with a vengeance. I also suffer migraines that have got more severe and frequent.

I can’t even offer advice other than you can speak to your GP, look at other basic headache causes to rule out, try some massage, warm baths help a bit. I now take propranolol which I can’t say has helped massively but has eased the frequency.

Best of luck.

Thank you for your advise. My heart goes out to you because these headaches are awful. Living with many other Conditions it's hard to know which one it might be linked to. It's affecting my blood pressure right now which is all so creating concerns . My doctor said rest and see if symptoms change ? In two weeks. Not sure I can wait two weeks to be honest. I think I call him again and request an appointment . Glad your feeling a lot better and thanks for your time today. Stay safe xx

Hi NipperSorry to hear you have have more symptoms. It very challenging. I would ask your GP for a full MOT/blood screen and physical abdo exam.

Its important ongoing new symptoms are looked into. It could be lots of things, food intolerance, ibs. Menopause (sorry i cant tell from profile, apologies)Maybe have a medication review too. I hope you get some relief soon.

Thank you for your advise. My GP done a full blood count and all normal. Therefore it's ponits to fibromyalgia but I not so sure. I think i am going to have to push for other tests to be done. My blood pressure has also been affected which could to linked to the headaches 😩 . I am grateful for your time and advise. Stay safe xx

Hi. I’m sorry you are feeling rough. I can empathise with the headaches, I’ve had them for years and unfortunately nothing seems to help. I don’t know your gender or age but personally, as a female who has just turned 50 I have noticed that my headaches are worse, temperature regulation is all over the place and insomnia is a constant 😩. The perimenopause seems to have endless symptoms! It could be something to consider if you are a lady of a certain age. I hope you find some respite ❤️

Hi, I get headaches too and always wake with one. My temperature is either too blooming hot or too blooming cold and I can sweat like crazy when hot. I'm on the top doses of HRT inc testosterone so I think it's fibro not menopause. It feels like just another layer of complexity to add to the list of things to put up with 😏. Don't get me started on sleep, I was awake 2am to 6pm last night 😩😩. I have no answers I'm afraid but I absolutely understand! x

hi Nipper

I’ve been wondering if my constant headaches are Fybro related too. I have them all the time, I wake up with them (so do t think they are due to anxiety which dr has suggested, and actually I don’t feel anxious doc!). My brain feels like it is selling inside my skull. I also go from hot to cold. I’ll get a sudden chill in the middle of my back which radiates out through my whole body which is a horrible feeling. I’m not sure what the answer is for us 🙁 but it’s nice to know that we are not alone in our symptoms 🤗

Thank you its good to know we can talk and share our Symptoms. Anything we don't understand is scary and for some reason my blood pressure is also affected by going too high and dropping too low so very confusing to understand what is causing this. My temperature is normal and a little lower and yet sweating and coldness 🥶 is part my symptoms. I do not have much confidence in my GP and most of the time research stuff myself. 🙃 thank you for your time today .Big hugs and take care. Xxx

Hi Nipper11

Always think anything and everything is worthwhile trying because you just never know.

So when I get a run of constant morning headaches and neck pain I switch out my pillows.

Hot shower before bed and apply magnesium to my my neck and shoulders, sometimes helps, sometimes it doesn't.

If my head's too low or too high I'll have horrible pain either from neck into head or just a constant headache the next day.

For the temp issues? I'm afraid I'm in & out the quilt all night like the hokey cokey 🎶 you put your left leg in, your right leg out🎶 - it's Exhausting 😞
