After years of backwards and forwards to gp, and a year on the waiting list for rhuemetology, I was diagnosed with fibro and referred to the chronic pain clinic.
I feel a little over whelmed, how do you guys cope with it all.
Would appreciate any advice

Hi Annak01, welcome to the club no one wants to be in! This site is the only thing to keep me sane. I followed a similar journey to you without the chronic pain clinic referral. I did see a pain Consultant privately but unfortunately his help didn't help and I couldn't tolerate the pain medication so I gave up with him. Don't be afraid to ask for lots of advice on here, pace as much as you can, be kind to yourself and don't be afraid to say no to family, friends and the world when it all feels too much. Us fibro warriors seem to pretend we are fine when we are not. All the best x
Me neither hun, it's not a nice feeling is it 😏. It can feel very lonely too hence how grateful I am for this site and the people on it. Keep reading, researching, try anything you can afford and stomach! Different things work for different people. My heat mat is my saviour, don't know where I would be without it x
Heat always good. What I like about my heat mat is it's large (size of my back), it doesn't require the kettle, I don't have to hold in place and I can switch it back on without moving, especially in the night. It's stays hot for about 1.5 hrs I believe and then switches itself off. Not expensive from Amazon. Could not live without it x ps I agree the constant fatigue is a killer especially when you can't get any decent sleep at night 😞
Take your time, be kind to yourself. None of this is ' your fault ' I say this as I can feel an unnecessary guilt that I can't do as much as I need to. bAccept you will probably do too much at times and feel a bit worse - we all do that!
Just look around the forum posts formative and crucially know that people on here understand. You aren't alone in this .
