Hi everyone, I have finally been diagnosed after 8 years of doctors and hospital etc nothing adding up, and everything else possible ruled out. I wondered if any of you have found any supplements that help with the fatigue and pain. I found an ointment called Warrior Balm, that's great for pain wherever it flares up for you, it's been a god send. Wishing you all well on your journeys x

Fibro diagnosis finally
Hiya, I'm currently seeing a pain consultant privately for my fibro. He's recommended as first line of treatment, high levels of Vit D, magnesium, zinc and vit C. Probiotics to improve gut health, yoga, walking and given me Duloxetine. I've also been on HRT for 2 years inc testosterone. I'm nearly 3 months in, I'm not skipping down the street but not feeling worse either 🤷! There doesn't seem to be one line of treatment for fibro so you just have to try everything you can afford. Best of luck x
Hi,I'm also on Duloxetine and HRT, vit D, and was thinking about a magnesium potassium zinc supplement. I can't do yoga, as I have glaucoma, and can't do inversions, but have dabbled with pilates, which seems to help a bit. Really appreciate your comment, best of luck on your journey.
Hiya, thanks for reply. How you getting on with Duloxetine? I'm only on 20mg so very early days. I'm expecting my Dr to want to increase this when I see him next. I'm not keen but it's not helping with the pain at this level. Sorry to hear about your glaucoma and inversion issues. Im guessed any sort of stretching and strengthening is good, who knows 🤷🤦. Sounds like you have many other things ticked already. It all feels like a guessing game doesn't it, and a lonely one 😏 xx
Hi, gosh it really is a guessing game, I'm just so relieved to be able to focus on the one thing, instead of a hundreds maybes. I'm definitely benefitting from the duloxetine, because I was extremely depressed and anxious before it, I'm also on 20mg, but also only been on it for 2 months, and I have been told it can be up to 6 months before any progress on nerve pain. I'm going to stick with it for the emotional benefits and hope it helps with the pain x
Blimey, I didn't know that. 6 months, really! 😏 that's going to be a tough one to wait out hey. I agree, it's helped my low mood and anxiety too which has been a nice benefit 👍. Funny enough, I've just watched Panorama on iPlayer re antidepressants. Bit confused about Duloxetine now 😏. It's definitely reduced my libido which I'm gutted about and I'm sweating more which is annoying. I've either got used to the dry mouth or don't notice it as much! Any side effects for you? X
Omg the sweating!!! I lived in Spain for 10 years with sometimes 40 degree heat, I have never sweated this much in my life! Libido has been way low for a long time, but I've gone through a lot in life, was abused as a kid, so not surprised by the loss if libido. Luckily I have an amazing partner, who understands all of it. Sorry, if it's a rude question, but how old are you? I'm 54 but still feel 18 in my head 😅
