Hello everyone, A happy New Year to you all!!

A quick question does anyone suffer with very sensitive and painful scalp to touch?

When my head hurts like today my scalp really hurts to touch. But if I massage my scalp it helps with the pain but leaves me feeling really exhausted and sleepy.

Yes i get scalp pain but not as severe as you i can poke my scalp and it hurts more than it should. Only comfort i can add is it's probably Fibro.

I have an appt with rheumatologist on 2nd for this,my g.

.suggested polymyalgia,I,'ll let you know.

Please do, I just thought it was part of my fibro but maybe I should check it out too as this is happens quite often. Good luck at hospital.

Yes I get this every so often, for me it feels like my scalp has been burned (like sunburn) quite painful to wash/brush hair. I also have peripheral neuropathy, (small fibre) so unsure what condition is the actual cause.

Happy New Year Everyone!

My scalp is very very sore ....m head feels like i have hang overs.....

The vagus nerve is a main cause .....

Relaxation deep breathing and hot oil and honey calm it...

Sadly damaged nerves take forever to heal.....

And yes this is put under the Fibromyalgia heading as its another smptom they dont have answers for..

Hello.

This happens to me sometimes. I remember telling a friend the first time I had this that I was in so much pain even my hair hurts.

Mrspainting48 above gives very good advice. It can and does get better. Good luck!

Yes, my scalp burns and is always very irritant all the time. I am always glad to get a hair wash, which my husband does for me. As the body is painful all over with Fibro, I assume it is the same.

Yes it is same. Pain every day, more so in this weather.

I often think I must have hit my head on something as that is how it feels, always in the same places. I find massaging helps a bit. Wearing a hat often makes my head ache too.

I've needed a serious haircut for sometime but avoided going because of brushes and c0mbs across my scalp..I remember a hair salon whitewash blow and head massage I might be tempted to try it...the rheumatologist I saw yesterday in the bud city hospital suggested I try this,,he has ruled out polymyalgia thank god I don't want anything else
