Have taken Gabapentin it was no good for me. End of the day each one of us react differently to the meds. some work some do not. Roll on warmer weather

.

Winter time is so debilitating.. I even went to the extreme and moved to Portugal at one stage for 7 years. Must admit the climate helped a lot. For various reasons returned to UK.

Hello and welcome Jacqui! Hope you like this forum as much as we all do - take a look around, there's so much info here and the experience of other Fibromites really helps too! :)

Gabapentin didn't agree with me. I now take pregablin & amitriptiline, but have just been prescribed codeine as well, which helps a bit. I'm having a full body/head MRI in a couple of weeks time, then depending on the results, I will be reffered to the pain clinic. It's scary changing meds but sometimes it's needed.

hi there i am on pregablin & amitriptiline ... but i do find that when i take the night time one it makes me feel so hung over in the morning and can not function till later that night ..... does any one esle get this with the night time pill

i am on25mg amitriptyline and now reduced my pregabalin to 100mg a day - i too feel hungover in the mornings but cant sleep without it now. tried to the other day as i had more wine than i meant to and it was too late to take it anyway and i was awake all night with shocking pains in my legs back and hips - i sometimes wonder whether the pains are worse for taking the pregabalin - i was on 200mg a day.i didnt have as much pain pre- meds as i do now.....

I take Gabapentin along with citalopram and amytriptyline, doesn't make a huge difference to be honest, still have trouble walking. My feet feel like they're on fire! After the initial getting used to them period I was fine on them and was pain free for a short time but the symptoms soon came back with a vengance unfortunately, Good luck, they might wok for you :)

I've been on a very low dose of Ami and for ages I was sleeping almost 20 hours on and off. I stopped taking them for a while but my pains convinced me to give it another go and if need be exceed the dose. However apart from been tired this time round I've not slept as much. But ironically, I've been awake all night tossing and turning, im laid in bed on my phone now occupying my brain cell which if im honest hasn't been working too well lately either lol xx

I take citalapram and tramadol with paracetamol. I was on high doses of codine but they reacted to some of my other meds and I kept having blackouts. Hope you find something that works for you xx flips xx
