Pins & Needles in Face

Hi, was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last year. Been getting pins & needles in the right side of my face & numbness, a bit like when you’ve been to the dentist & it’s wearing off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you

Hi, yes I get it often. Imo would say not fibro related. Mine is facial neuralgia. I hope this helps.

If you have concerns it may be a good idea to mention it to your GP. Please dont put everything down to fibro. If in doubt check it out is my mantra xx

Hi, yes I get that too I have mentioned it to GP when going through my symptoms but no one has said it’s not connected to fibromyalgia.

Hi. I constantly have pins and needles in my hands and feet! I live with it. I was told it was my hypermobility causing it when I was diagnosed. Now I wonder how many of my symptoms are overlapping? It's a good day for me today so I'm doing housework. Taking a break between each room I clean. Let's hope someone comes up with a miracle cure soon. 😀

I have it, same side, it's linked to my TemproMandibular Joint Dysfunction for which I receive Botox ever 3-4 months.

The Oral Maxilliary specialist a sked me if I'd been diagnosed with FM as there was a link. It was that appointment that enabled me to go to my GP & tell him, after 5+ years of asking, to get to a Rheumy & checked for FM.

I get that as well, usually just before I'm due my Botox injection from the Neurologist for TMJD.

Hi FaxgirlHaving pins and needles and numbness in my face and scalp is one of my main symptoms. I get some of this everday whether it is slight numbness / tightness, prickling, or an intense crawling or burning sensation. It was this feeling that sent me to the doctor, along with other things, and so began the tests and referrals to a neurologist and rheumatologist. I assume my medication has helped because the pins and needles feeling is not constant throughout the day but sporadic. Please make sure you tell your doctor of this sensation as it may need further investigation. Take care.
