Well after 11 months of visiting the doctor they have ruled out polymalgia and believe it to be fibromyalgia and referring me to a neurogist this was last week. but last year I tried for pip and got declined so I did the mandatory reconsideration which was also declined this was sept last year, they said i scored zero in total. when could I try again seeing as my symptoms have got worse and I'm also on medication? Any help would be appreciated xx

Hi - you can apply for PIP again at any time, but please remember that PIP isn't about any diagnosis nor the medication you take, it's about your functional ability to perform the activities that are looked at 'reliably.'

So, have a look at the activities/descriptors that are looked at with PIP again:  cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset...

Try & give a couple of recent, detailed examples as to the difficulty you face for each applicable descriptor, i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity?

Say if you can't do an activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes you much longer than someone without a disability. See this mentioned at the end of the link above.

Hi

I agree with CM1EDSUK; well said...

This website is also a very useful one. ..benefitsandwork.co.uk/

For future reference, you can still appeal after mandatory reconsideration comes back as a refusal, as long as it is within their timescale. Many people have done this and been successful. This is how I managed to do it too.

Best wishes

in the US, the social security administration seems to automatically decline everyone the first time ( for any disability) and hope you will give up
