Hi sorry to hear this was this a new application or a review ? If you application is late it should only be the backdate thats not paid, either way ask for a mandatory reconsideration, if this is not successful you can then appeal. If you have a social landlord they should be able to help you with this if not the CAB can help. PIP is award by how your ill health effects your daily living activities and mobility. Claims with professional help are more likely to be paid hope this gets sorted for you
Morning. If the letter states 12th August, I would photocopy it and send it back ‘signed for’ delivery. Enclose a covering letter stating that your application has already been received by them, and that this letter is confirming that you have sent it back ‘in time’. Follow up with a phone call stating all the above a day or two later.
I did mine recently and was sent a two week extension but the date on the letter made it nearer 3 months… I stuck to the two weeks, as I know how bad they are… but nonetheless, they are responsible for the contents of their letters, not you..

Please don't fret too much. Try a phone call to PIP along with a letter outlining the misunderstanding. I am certain the issue will be resolved. The DWP are like every other large organisation, they can make mistakes like anyone else.
