hi all. Just had my telephone PIP assessment this morning. 3rd time applying…
Was meant to have assessment on the 8th but was contacted 15mins past appointment time to say assessor called in sick last minute. Appointment rescheduled for the 22nd.
They called yesterday to check if still okay for today, then had a missed call around 8am. They called again just after 9 to say assessor running behind by 10mins.
Assessor called at 09:39 and it took about 45mins. 30mins later I had a text from DWP saying they have received a written report.
I feel they are just messing me around, feels like report was written before the assessment was conducted lol. Anyone had similar experiences
xx

they write the report as they are speaking to you. It doesn’t mean it was pre written. Don’t worry too much or over think it. You can apply for a copy of the report. My relative asked for a copy 2 days after the assessment and got it well before any decision letter. The report will give you an idea of what the likely outcome is and give you time to consider your response i if needed for the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR). Good luck and try not to worry - easier said than done I know
Thank you so much for your response and your reassurance, there I was sitting here thinking there was no way she could have completed a report within that timeframe lol x
After my assessment I did also receive a text from DWP to say they had received the assessors report and it could take up to 8 weeks to get their decision. Luckily I heard back within a week.I have also asked for a transcribe copy of assessors report in case I need it for any future review.
Thank you for taking your time to respond to my post. Good to hear it wasn’t “pre-written” like I assumed lol. Was it good news for you if you don’t mind me asking!
Hello Mathex, i think because we dont always have good times interacting with officials we tend to be a bit suspicious ( well, I do anyway!)Yes, fortunately I was awarded the standard day to day part and standard part for mobility too, for 3 years, with a review in 2 years.
Hi again hun, I've got this to come. I get DLA at the moment and ESA. But as a legacy I'll have to apply for PIP. Every benefit I've ever had I've had to go to tribunal. So I'm scared to move. I'm mad 😠 on ur behalf at them messing you around so much grrr.
I think the assessor will have already filled in quite a bit from the information questionnaire that you sent in before your assessment. That's why it's so important to fill in as much as you can on the assessment forms that are sent out to you. Anyway good luck to you. Let us know how you get on. Everyone will be rooting for you. It's such an awful procedure to go through.Best wishes
So sorry for late response, been down with chest infection, ended up in A&E last week due to concerns with my breathing. Fab news though is that I finally got awarded standard daily, such a relief xx
I received a text on the 31st to say I have been awarded standard daily but no mobility. Back pay from July 23rd, money in my account Saturday midnight and letter received Saturday morning. Am so relieved. All the best to everyone applying/who has applied 🤗
Hiya. No I was awarded PIP , got fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Am in receipt of universal credit, I sent in my UC50 and it arrived on the day it was due back (that was in August) apparently according to them I missed the deadline so it was put to the decision maker for a decision, I haven’t heard anything since but I keep getting asked for fitnotes. Been handing these in since April so I don’t know way forward now x
