does anyone take Zinc for their immune system please let me know thank you
I take 50mg Zinc gluconate at bedtime.
I can't say I've seen a difference in my allergy symptoms but mine are pretty severe and I started supplementing regularly only a short time ago after having previously been very haphazard in taking it previously. So not expecting to see any benefits for a while in my case, I think.
Also just to say I was advised by a private doctor to take zinc as I have thyroid antibodies and autoimmune issues. I didn't take it seriously enough
Zinc, copper and selenium are essential for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, and deficiency of these can result in hypothyroidism. I also have thyroid issue and have been taking these three for years now in addition to thyroid hormones. Don't really know for sure whether they make any difference
Hi Magi, I take it every other day (alternate it with vit. C) since the pandemic started. I wasn't taking it to help any of my symptoms though, so really can't say how it has affected me.
Good afternoon, yes I take Zinc with chelated copper, I have done since my thyroid troubles - I also find that it helps my sense of taste and smell, I soon notice if I forget to take it
Hi there, I am taking vitamin c with zinc , doctor recommended it as I have CFS along with multi vitamins too try build up my immune system, just run anything you take by your doctor or pharmacist too be sure xx
Following on from your reply to my post, and reading this your doctor sounds knowledgeable.
When I asked my GP years ago whether he thought magnesium might help with my pain he looked at me blankly then said 'just eat a balanced diet' 🙄
really wow you don’t have a very good doctor
Doctor(s). There's one who can be good depending on what frame of mind she's in but she kept trying to foist anti-depressants on me and told me only those sitting around at home have Fibromyalgia for longer than a year or so as it eventually burns itself out.
I haven't met one who's really conversant with it.
yes I will thanks xoxo
