Pain in my feet

I have had arthritis, bursitis and fybro for a few years now, but have recently started getting terrible pressure pain when I go from sitting to standing.

The feeling is as if my heels have filled up when I'm sitting and when I try to stand it's like toothache in the soles of my heels.

The foot pain eases after I have stood for about a minute, but the frequency is increasing and the pressure pain is getting worse!

Does anyone else get this and what is it please?

I have enough pain without this new one kicking in several times a day.

Hi DD.

This pain in ur feet , I'm thinking could it diabetes related as it affects our feet more than we think & a suggestion if i may, take it as a sign to get a check up ? Hopefully nothing untoward but then it gets rid of any overthinking that we can tend to do too.

Thank you DodgeDhanda, I have managed to get a doctor's call back for 28th December, so hopefully get an answer.

I do however eat a lot a food that's pre-made and has high sugar levels so would not be surprised, although I hope it's not.

I hope its not the case either & I totally get having to buy processed food as I'm in the same boat , we do as much as we can but we must eat to survive too in good old Blighty thanks to "them".I am type 2 diabetic & recently started insulin as well as the metformin tablets.

I funnily enough have an appointment to see a foot doctor on the 28th , had an abcess under my toenail but not sure if it's totally cleared as it did go & ooze out its green goo lol.

As the pain is around the sole /heel area - this is the area that planter fascitis affects

I get really bad foot pain, especially when I stand up and start to move - they cannot find any reason for it, so it gets put down to fibro

I get planter from time to time. I use good insoles in shoes and slippers which seems to calm it down thankfully.

Hi DD, do you have any swelling associated with the pain? I ask as i had bursitis in knee that bled and led to a blood clot in lower leg. This caused a lot of pain and pressure in the feet (along with bruising associated with bleed) which i still suffer from today. Its normally much worse after sitting for a while and standing. I am no longer on anti-coags but the swelling and pain are still there.

Hopefully its not that, but thought would mention just incase. Even if not as severe as a clot, the doctor advised me that your veins can suffer over time and become less efficient at moving blood back to heart which can cause the swelling/pain etc.

are your feet cold when happens?

is the skin under foot flexible? or rough and sore,

do you wear shoes or just bear feet?

the metro centre always made my feet hurt, the floor was too hard, was wearing shoes wore everyday. do you have hard floors?

suggest get a swear jar, so can have a treat for putting up with the horrid pain after filling jar of coinage. not useful although something to aim for.

Have you tried doing stretches? Brad and Bob on youtube have stretches for plantar fasciitis and more besides. I had similar. So painful getting out of bed etc.! The stretches were amazing bringing swift relief, and now my feet are happy. Obviously, you need to keep doing the exercises to cure the issue and to keep it from coming back.

You need to stretch the calf muscles into the foot and the exercise they recommend is really easy. Just make sure you practice where you can hold onto something for balance when you start out.

If there is no relief after a few goes, maybe this isn't your problem.
