I get random pain and weakness in my hands and wrists, it goes away for weeks at a time and I forget about it, until it sneaks back again, out of the blue I pick up the kettle and my wrist gives way, and I end up scolded with a broken kettle, I've had to renew mine 3 times already this year, I've reverted to mainly cold drinks now, just to be on the safe side, unfortunately my pain in my ankles, feet, calves and arms never go away, from the moment I open my eyes I hurt, I'm quite glad I have chronic fatigue, and sleep on average 16+ hours most days, coz the only time I can't feel the pain is when I'm asleep, but I'm sleeping my life away, I can't remember the last time I felt my normal old self I can't remember when I last woke up without any pain, or even a little pain, if I was a dog they'd put me down out of kindness.

Hi, I’ve often said animals get better treatment than we do 👍. I do have to say count yourself lucky though that you can sleep so long, that’s one of my biggest problems, with the pain and restless legs I’m lucky to catch a few hours sleep a night. Have you tried supports for your wrists, I have them for most of my joints , they help with the pain and to be able to use your joints .
Hi Michelle
I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I'm exactly the same with my hands and being weak.
Mine is knives most of the time 😂
Mugs of coffee get dropped lately, made a fresh cup a couple of months ago and proceeded to dump the whole mug on my laptop. 😱
It cost £2.5k, luckily I could claim on my home insurance.
I only get about 5hrs sleep a night but involuntarily nap throughout the day. Lol
Regarding the kettle I have a Breville hot water dispenser now, boils a cup at a time in about 30 seconds or so. It's not as hot as I'd like but hot enough, perhaps that would better for you?
They're not cheap but so worth it, bit of a pain if using is for cooking as I have to boil more times to get enough, like gravy for example.
Hi MichelleYes my hands are often a problem and hurt but are also weak.
Have you seen tilt kettles
You can get a framecto tilt your own kettle or a new snazzy tilt kettle
A bit more than just a kettle but worth it
Scald free hot drinks whatever my hands are doing.
Hope that helps
Gigi
Framecto tilt kettle? Google can't find it for me. Do you have a link?
completecareshop.co.uk/kitc... my text had joined up a bit
Hppe there is a range on this website
Can I make one suggestion as the kettle wrist problem isn't going away. For your own safety what about a tap giving boilding hot water so you can fill your cup directly, and for your vegetables hot water straight into the pan and your ready.I don't work for any of these companies, just a suggestion.
Get a hot water heating device (Brevill do one) that you put your cup underneath and it fills for tea, coffee etc without picking it up and can be filled from the top.
