If my memory was any worse ...

I've been sitting here for an hour, and really can't remember what to do! I suspect i have a list somewhere, but finding it is another story! This is also the second attempt at writing this, because I stupidly hit 'Ctrl' and 'H', and then something else, which took me off to Google from my internet history, and wiped everything I'd already written! But at least it's wasted a bit more time, although I can't for the life of me remember what it was I had written in the first blog ...

In other news, I think my rheumatologist from Solihull has caught my fibrofog! He told me last July (my first appointment with him) that he would be discharging me, unless the bloods showed anything. Now, as he hasn't got back to me in the last 8 months, I'm presuming that - even if there were any abnormalities - they weren't severe enough to warrant any contact; however, I've just received a letter thanking me for choosing them for my outpatient appointment, booked for next month! So, either the hospital are losing their marbles, or there's been an AFU (administrative 'foul' up). I'm also due to see the rheumatologist in Walsall at some point over the next couple of months, thanks to one of my colleagues referring me.

Seriously, you wait ages for a consultation, and then two come along at once! Now, where was I?

Do I come here often?

Harr at least I am not alone ... I managed to forget my birthday on Saturday and to join you in confusing hospital appointments I had a very nice letter from my local podiatry clinic inviting me to attend as I had been fast tracked to them for a referral... Amazing as they discharged me almost a year ago and my rheumy then sent me to orthotics who were and are very helpful... I explained to the lady on the phone I was ...a... Not a new patient and ...b ... Had been discharged from podiatry months before.... She then told me that letter wasnt for me , even though it had my name on it ...and came to my address.. And told me to ignore it.... And I thought I had problems .... Who ever is in charge of podiatry by me has worse fibro fog than either of us Sooty.

Tell me about it - my boss forgets even more things than me ... maybe it's a podiatry thing? She's useless! Our department has twice sent letters to relatives of patients with similar names - God only knows how!

As long as podiatry departments like mine are alive and kicking, we fibrofoggers can sit back and look smug! ;) xx
