I sent mine in late Aug/early September and called up to check they'd got my form a couple weeks later. I received a text last week to say my appointment is in early Dec, but because I want it recorded they have to cancel it and reschedule - so I'm sure they'll find an excuse to take weeks with that. Best of luck, hope your claim is successful!

It varies depending on where you live - some areas of the country have longer waiting times than others

Hi Ken, I would say how long is a piece of string! I guess a lot of different factors come into play. Some are seen quicker than others. They may feel some others needs are more urgent than others so maybe they go to the top of the pile. Especialy if they are not enough people to do the assessments. I'm only guessing at that. But it's a possibility.

Ken I thought from reading your last post on travel you had been given an assessment date. I was just wondering why you had not talked with someone about your travelling concerns before now since your forms had been in since August? Maybe you should ring them and ask about not been able to travel just a thought xx

Hi, last year I waited for 4 months and wasn't successful. I applied again a year later as my conditions worsened and needed more help. I waited for 3 months this year got both parts this time at the standard rate.
